Yeah I know. Part of the reason if I do go I think food grade is a better option. Haul the stuff that don’t go boom first. Get used to the surge in a safer way. I don’t think I’d bbq well. But hey fat is flavor right?lol

I went to load an A/C unit yesterday. I showed up and they gave me a detailed drawing on how to secure it. I thought they were over complicating the process, then they had detailed instructions on how to remove a cotter pin and Clovis to remove your hook in order to fish it through the hole. Again I thought, what kind of morons have they been loading.
Any way there was a hot shot and a flatbed there. The forklifted them on and sat small 4x4 blocks under each unit. Then they come up to me and say “did they know you had that type of trailer?” I said yeah they need a lowboy. My unit is 12’-9” tall. They said “no, we have to have a flat floor.” I said well I have timbers that are even with the center rails. And I load #### like this all the time. He said “it has to be flat on the trailer or else the bottom may get damaged”. I asked if the other two were flat on the trailer, then said whatever dude. I was already questioning the load when they felt the need to tell me how to remove a hook.blairandgretchen, exhausted379, 074344 and 15 others Thank this. -

I learned tanker pulling haz waste. There were no real issues in the winter. As was said before, you learn how to pull it to minimize the surge.

I loved hauling chemicals. If I ever drop my authority I’d go straight to pulling tanks again. Don’t be scared to look at chemicals. Good freight generally 50/50 loaded and empty. Customers are generally easy to deal with. I would rather butt #### a badger than go back to a motor wagonblairandgretchen, exhausted379, 074344 and 13 others Thank this.

And that makes you a far better driver all the way around. You learn to do everything slow and smooth. And that’s valuable for every trailer type out thereexhausted379, 074344, JolliRoger and 14 others Thank this.

Used to load quite a bit of DOD freight. Most of it had detailed instructions on how to secure it, complete with a required equipment list.
The instructions were written for a sixth grade education. So the megas could load it.exhausted379, 074344, JolliRoger and 9 others Thank this. -
You loading that A/C unit in PA? I hauled one out of in there several years ago, they did the same to me. Loaded it on a lowboy, but had to take all my chain hooks off, and get their approval it was properly secured before I could leave. After they had told me how to secure it.

That’s exactly how these were. I was a little insulted by it. I’m like I’m pretty good at my job. I think I can figure this out.blairandgretchen, exhausted379, 074344 and 13 others Thank this.
