Panhandlepat,Give Roehl a call and tell them about your tickets, and also any circumstances about the tickets. When i applied to Roehl I had one ticket on my record,if I remember right it was for 66 in a 55 in the lovely state of Ohio, where they just love to nail truckers for anything they can,and will also make up some reasons to nail you.I also live in Ohio and have no respect whatsoever for the OSP.They got me after picking up a little speed going down a hill.I never had the truck over 60,but hey what are ya gonna do.I just paid the ticket.OSP are more like nazzis than State Police.Anyway Roehl hired me after I told them the whole story. So give it a Whirl, who knows what will happen?

RoadDog, most companies I have spoken to/checked out on the web have NO problem with one ticket (as long as its something minor, 10 over is OK, 15 over is a major taboo).

yup, with just one on my record it will be OK for some Co's but not others.
]i'll just have to take what i can get for a year or so and then get selective about my choices.

I had a 15 over but in a 4 wheel. Don't have CDL. But I have 3 prehires. Do you think this issue will come to haunt me at orientation?
    Thanks

Hard to say, again, some cos will say no, but since that's your only violation, you shouldn't have any major problems (knock on wood!)
You will have to fill out a full length application before orientation, and once your prospective co has your app, they should run your MVR,DAC, etc and be able to give you an almost sure yes/no.

PHP, be ready buddy, you may have to tough it out for more than a year. Again, my example, when I got my CDL most 'local' job offering cos would hire with one year's experience. Well now it seems like a lot of those cos are now asking for 18 mos or more. So, you may want to mentally prepare yourself for sticking it out for up to 2 years now, and if that changes for the better, then YEE-HAW!:smt003

    Thanks Wallbanger
Similar to Pat's situation, driving school said the violation doesn't even show on my MVR. But I put it on the app. Pat gave me a good suggestion of going and getting my own copy and seeing for myself.
One thing I have learned from the gurus here is BE HONEST AND PUT IT ALL DOWN.

You are absolutely correct, if it's on the app then the company will at least be looking for it, and if it never shows up, then you're even better off!

PHP- Glad to see you have the right mindset, and are ready to do what you need to start your driving career. I have a wife and two young boys who actually still like me, so I need to be around the house!:-D
