New TMC Toll Program

    Has anyone got the new toll transponder yet? I know that they are installing them in the trucks because a friend of mine has one, but he went on vacation and hasn't tried it yet.

    I checked out the info they got on the website and the restricted toll roads hasn't changed. They are also supposed to be putting in something for the scales also, but no info on site. Heading for service in Des Moines tuesday and will get installed then.

    yup ezpass is back its the 2 in one like before. yup no indiana or ohio pike still, stay off they wont reimburse for it

    It's not EzPass, at least not mine. I got IPass. No Indiana or Ohio is correct. I have tried it yet, just got it installed yesterday.

    I just got my new transponder 2 weeks ago when I rolled through Des Moines. It is not the same as the EZPass. The IPass does not work for the scales like the EZPass did. I'll still take not having to pay the tolls and dealing with the receipts, especially when most of the time I get the pass through the scales. I hear they are working on something for the scales. Thank you TMC.

    ipass is ezpass. it just means they bought it from illinois and the name is a holdover from back when every state had their own transponder..

    got my IPASS not ezpass though it works the same and went thru in oh and pa with it and it worked still have to have authorization but they work

    If you TMC drivers are not allowed to use the OH tollroad say from Chitown to NYC what longer route are you supposed to take and how do they handle either the difference in time or miles?
