The idiots in Mondovi are going to be so screwed when the whole fleet is on them. They are not organized enough for them to work.

I let my FM know 3 days in advance what my upcoming hrs were gonna be., and that I was going to be short on hrs after my delivery, but she still put a pre plan on me that I would not be able to do. I turned down the load, then 30 minutes later got another impossible PP, explaning again that I didn't have hours. This went on two more times, each time I QC her letting her know my hrs. The problem is the load planners are not looking at our hrs, and FM's are not reading our messages.Oh, and I had to repower a load last week, and also had to have my load repowered.:biggrin_25512:

I had plenty left on my 70, it was the 14 hr day that go shot to hell.
I agree planners/ dispatchers don't read ENTIRE msg.
i too tell mine 24 hrs in advance of my hours for the next few days. Ansd she is happy with that.

Yup, i have also gone back n forth with dispatch, ovver loads i dont have the time for.

Hey Skibum, I feel your pain. It gets very frustrating especially when the fleet manager puts out a message on QC " communication is the key" But they are the one dropping the ball on communication. like you, I do my job as a professional, trip plan right down to the wire, send in my hrs in advance, and even leave hometime early to go get my load if I have to. They are going to have to start getting it together concerning the E-log, or im gonna have to start looking at other carriers. Alot of carriers that run papperless logs know what they are doing. There load planners look at your hours, before giving you a load. Marten does not.

I have been looking for change for the past few months. May of found it. They don't force perdeim on you as well as make you pay for it. Straight .39 cents a mile to start. :) That's 2 less than what i was making before Marte forced the perdeim into us. If i don;t get something else, my CPA say i'll be paying taxes next year. This year refund is down by $2,500

The last couple of loads Ive gotten actually gave me enough time to deliver, so my E-log hasn't been an issue. Don't know how long this will last.

I'm still on the paper log but have noticed myself that they are dispatching at no more then 500 miles a day. Talked with 5 drivers this week who are on the e-log and they have seen the same thing. Looks like they are figuring out that the e-log will keep them honest as well as us.

I hope they keep this up. All I ask is that they give me enough time to get the load there. I also agree with skibum that the FM's don't read the entire QC message, so I don't send out long messages. I have been sending out several short ones instead.

Sounds like maybe I need to go ahead and make the change to Martin! I'm makin pretty good money, excellent benefits, etc but the harassment and all just isn't worth it. I'm usually home every week Fri noon/eve to Sun noon/eve but there is just so much stress involved with this company! They're a manufacturer who own their own trucks.
