So I did it correctly then?

Holy crap, I can be taught!!! LOL...

Now for the Mac 18 stuff.
Here's what I came up with

    Local ETD 0930
    Local ETA 1130
    Midnight to Avail 11:30
    Left on 14HR Workday 02:30
Of the HRS left on 14 how many can I Drive 02:30
HRS : Today (just above the yesterday, 2day ago, 3day ago) 00:00 I forget what this was for. I'll have to look in the book again...

Yepper, ya got it!!!! Hours today, I just put how many hours I figured I'd use, so in your case, it would be 11:30.:biggrin_25525:

Oops, my bad. That's what supposed to go there, thanks.

So, if I had a DOT break in there I'd add the worked hours from the previous trip to my planned hours for the current trip?

Like; I worked 2 hours from 0000 to 0200, DOT break, then this current trip. So I'd put 13:30 on that HRS : TODAY line?

Not sure I understand the question. But if you had your DOT, you would start with a fresh 14. Then you would start from there.:biggrin_255:

I mean like if I had 2hours from a previous trip and this trip I'm planing had different PU DEL times.

    0000-0200 from a previous trip
    0200-1200 DOT break
Then this plan of 11.5 hours. (just assume that the PU/DEL times are for later in the day.)
That would equal 13.5 worked hours for the day.

I guess the question is what exactly goes in that "HRS : TODAY" line?

Oh man!!! I gotta get to bed.

If you have anymore questions, I'll catch up in the morning. Worked all day running electric service to my barn. Like Arnie said, "I'll be back"!!!:biggrin_25525:

    NP johnday!
Thanks so much for your help thus far!
    Same to you GraniteState.

    Beautiful!

Now, I only need to remember which macros to send and when.
I'm talking about the stuff other than the PU/DEL replies...

OK, so macro 18 with every trip plan OR the start of my day if on a multi day load.
Macro 6 goes out with each trailer change or when shutting down for the night.

If I'm going to be need my PU/DEL times changed, I'd send a macro 29 followed by a 18...

    What others am I forgetting?

I suppose I should hit the sack as well.
I'll be sure to check back in the AM.

Thanks to you all yet again! ;)

Never a problem trying to help another driver.

You sound anxious to get going. It's too bad there can't be some sort of standardization with QualCom. I understand each company is different to a point, but do they all have to make it this difficult?

A nice thing about that new QC. IMO, it is a bit easier to read and use.

It's going to take a few times before you're comfortable with the system, just relax, and don't do like I did. I sat there with heartburn a number of times because I was too stubborn to make a phone call.

Once you get low on your hours, expect a message from the planners as to your hours for the last 8 days. I know, I know, you sent Mac 18 everyday. This was the only time I thought with SNI that the right hand didn't know what the left was doing.
I had 16 hours left once, and the planner couldn't understand why it would take me 3 days to drive 1100 miles. I think someone educated her about the HOS. Those were some of the few times that I thought WTF!:biggrin_25523:
