A little over a year ago they got the simulators. I was one of the first people to use it. Did my Smith System on it as well as my upgrade. They're kinda cool. You can go over there anytime as long as they aren't being used by a class and they will let you run through some simulations. Although last I heard one of them was broke already. They cost something like 20k a piece and I believe there are 4 of them if my memory is right. Sheesh.
I personally think the upgrade test should be done in the real thing, but I guess they gotta get their money worth out of them!

the simulators arent as good as testing on the pad

I dont see how they could be. I tested on the pad and you cant get anymore real then actually driving the real thing. A simulator could not be close to the same.

Well I was scheduled for Orientation w/ Prime on August 3rd since classes start every Tuesday. Recruiter hasn't contacted me for over 4 days after I sent her the information she requested. I called, was put on hold, and never got to speak w/ her. Also the other recruiters didn't seem to have a clue. So, I have no clue if they ever received the info, 2nd, I was already approved, yet I am wondering why I am getting the run-a-round....starting to put me on edge....
I am not trying to be a naysayer here, however, if they can't even tell me what is going on with everything now, then what am I to expect when I get to Springfield. Seems like something just keeps getting in the way. Pisses me off. -
Don't sweat it! Those folks in recruiting are always slammed, and it's right before the holiday. Its not that they're disorganized or are ignoring you - its just the volume of stuff they have to deal with.
Call them Tuesday - they won't be in Monday, camp on hold until you get your recruiter. Don't forget a book or something to keep you occupied until you get in touch! You've got 4 weeks until you need to be on the Grey Dog, so it's not like it's the night before you need to be there.DirtySideDown Thanks this. -
Ironpony is absolutly correct they are slammed. I went through the same thing. Be patient you still have a ways to go. Their are others that need attention as they are coming in sooner, and they need to get everything in order for them. Just enjoy your holiday weekend and call on Tuesday.

I am not sweating it.... I was trying to get to Orientation sooner. I thought August 3rd would be best than thought again. Anyways, I understand the holiday aspect... just was frustrated cause she said fax this and that and we'll get you here sooner and just haven't heard back. Its all good. I am patient usually..... not sure why I am all flustered. LOL!!! I am fine now.... thanks guys.

The worst thing so far has to be the bus ride. I'm not ever riding one of those again.
