When I first got started with my own truck, for a month straight I would load sand at Ritche in Wichita, take it to 5 mi. north of McPherson, and then go over to Pollard to load wheat back to Bartlett in Wichita...twice a day. I was so sick of that run by the time I finished it all up that I never wanted to even hear the word sand again! Now, whenever somebody calls me to haul a load of rock or sand, I tell them to call an end dump outfit. I figured I'd hauled enough sand for one lifetime that summer.

I don't haul rocks either, just think it is too hard on trailers. Trap doors seem to get bent hauling it.

Same back at ya, and everyone in here!

Got home safe and sound a few days ago after limping back from TX to GA. Still not building boost real well, and wouldn't pull a load to save it's life. Temp gauges stayed down on the way home, and no weird noise, just an absence of power and grey smoke from the stack when I'd try to push it up. We'll see what that's all about before I roll out again, and I'm makin a few changes along the way.

    Be safe friends!

    wheathauler and dairyman Thank this.

You all have a great July 4th weekend too. Thanks to the ones long ago that originally paid for our freedoms, all the ones since then, and the ones today that are still paying the price......:biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514:

I noticed yesterday the traffic was getting worse...this was fairly early in afternoon. The elevators are all closed Monday so will have long weekend off. Supposed to rain here Sunday which could spoil our fireworks shooting.
