Getting a truck detailed. How much?

I got a tractor that had soda pop spilled on the rubber floor mats, that appeared to have been there for a very long time. I ended up using an entire spray can of Resolve Carpet Cleaner on that. It and some elbow grease did take it out. It made those black rubber mats look just like new, which meant that every time you'd get into the truck you'd add another set of dust tracks. . .Until they finally got back to where they belonged. The big downside to this, was having to smell that Resolve for about a week, before the odor disappeared.

I make my own stuff for all my interior paneling, dash and rubber floors! It's called MR Clean with Frebreeze! Start off with an empty spray bottle of windex or whatever you used, fill it about 3/4 full of water, add no more than 2 drops of Dawn dish washing detergent. It cuts grease very well. Then finish filling the bottle with Mr. Clean. You can also use Mr. Clean with Frebreeze in it for a nice fresh smell which most trucks need anyway!

This will clean the whole interior of a truck that does not have velour upholstery.

I also use it on my windshield and outside windows before I use the squeegee as it helps to cut the bugs from the summer but it also cuts all the road grime and grease and oil.

Or as otherhalf recommends you can ask her to shake a little! It might not work on cleaning the floor but it darn sure helps me get over this vertigo problem I'm having! ROFLMAO!

 

Hi, most time i did a little at a time like waiting on load those 3 hours or whatever if im not sleepy , i was cleaning, taking thrash out , sweeping , i used a my air hose with air gun for hard too reach spots, i just that blue hose for blowing up tires that acct too the glad hand, go too wall mart by the blow gun, great for blowing the duct work in dash were mold en other debrees can hide en can make you sick, while on the dash , you might want too change the cab filter , some are under the bunk on the right side were the air cond sets, youll have too check your model, this left untended well cause you air too work harder and if moldy can spread mold spores and make you sick, two or three good scrub brushes with nylon bristols, a old paint brush for step outside, do whatever you do at home and applys too your truck,use those window screens well keep out lots of those helicopters off the trees as well as cotton trees and bugs,if you have time ,home time , take your matteress out and leave out in sun on plasticsa works wonders too air it out,carry glass wipes , then you can use those anytimes for whiping mirrors during rain times, and get some lysol disfect whipes too , just a few thoughts as i did it that way,

 

When all else fails just wreck the truck, I guarantee you won't have to worry about being in a dirty truck

 

Oh in that case I'll come out of retirement. You send me a first class air ticket and I'll meet you where you need me. The cab will cost $22,000, and the outside will be $2 dollars.

 

all of our trucks carry a stiff bristled whisk broom. little handheld deal, costs maybe $2.50 about a foot long. Every day i brush out the truck, empty the floor mat. Couples times a month I clean the inside of the windows. Oh and if the truck is new enough to have a cabin filter clean it or replace it twice per year. Mine is the same stuff used in swamp coolers, I take it out, brush it out, vacuum it, then wash it out and let it air dry overnight. Every few months, I take as much out of the truck as I can, brush out then vacuum the floors, then get a bucket of hot water and some simple green. Scrub the whole shebang down, then wipe it dry and do it again. This is best to do if you can leave the truck overnight with the windows cracked. I usually wipe down the dash and guage panel with windex and a rag every week or so.
