    I got on with a year old 72/55 4 years ago, but at that point, I think if you had a pulse you got hired. They have tightened up their standards since then, but they are always subject to change. Recruiting would be your best bet for an answer.

    For the record, since I got on, only 1 moving violation in the last 4 years, a left lane violation.

    Just wanted to thank the posters on this thread. I'm still trying to decide on which company to go with but I am leaning on the training companies. From what I have learned so far is the CDL program at Prime seems to be a whole lot better than simply just going to one of the CDL schools. The knowledge tests are something I could get prepaired for on my own. The 1 to 1 training in the real world is much better than waiting on my turn with one of the trucks at a driving school.

    I've been out of work for 3 months now and it's time to make the decission to give up on the job market. I've always wanted to drive so maybe it's time to see if I'm really cut out for this way of life. I pretty much think that I can put up with a lot for one year at least. I won't know until I try it.

    I actually have enjoyed most of the information on this board as well.

    Thanks again,

    Kevin

    If you do'nt grt on with Prime, you might try WilTrans or Carolina Cargo, good luck. I think you might have a problem with 15mph over considered reckless driving. Slow down bro!!!!:biggrin_255:

    I got hired on with an 84 in a 65 ticket (I-94 in Wisconsin) that was 18 months old. Got the ticket before I was planning on becoming a truck driver. When the cop asked me why I was going so fast, my excuse was "I was just trying to get around that truck." :-D And yes, I was 100% guilty. Maybe the only person in the history of traffic law that admits to being guilty. Paid my $275 (ouch) and figured I was done with it.

    Granted, that was my only traffic ticket, ever. Werner turned me down because of it. Told me flat out. I'm pretty sure TransAm turned me down because of it as well, but they never gave that exact reason. I just have a suspicion. Prime, FFE, and KLLM didn't have an issue with it.

    I'm on a kick butt 2700 mile solo produce run from California myself. Very much enjoying it. This will drain me of hours in perfect time....hometime! I don't know what my last 4 week average is, but it's got to be pretty darn close to 3k miles. Been running my butt off.

    Hey Dude!!:biggrin_25514::biggrin_2559:

    Why am I talking to a Cats fan, I'd rather be stuck with a Devils Pitch Fork then to be scratched by a CAT!!!
