no knight doesnt give pay stubs. its for the drivers saftey they say. never got one. if you cant get it online you will need to get a letter head from knight. dont worry about the miles they will come. also ask your husband what hes doing. is he sitting to long and not driving enough. hes new. you have to give it time. ive been a truckers wife for 10 years but hes drivin for 15yrs.
Is anyone else having any problems with Knight?

SAY WHAT? How can not giving pay stubs have anything to do with driver safety? That is the dumbest line I've heard about this outfit yet. . .
Of course just give it a little time and Knighton will be on here telling us how much better off the driver is without seeing his pay stubs. . . -
I actually preferred the online payroll access. What really bugs me is their reasoning behind it. Some drivers do not own computers and therefore don't have access to their pay info. To them Knight will say "just stop by any terminal and they'll be more than happy to print you one." BS go to a terminal and ask for a paystub. They'll look at you like your an idiot and tell you to go to your own terminal and get it. I went months at a time without going to my home terminal. I sure am glad I own a laptop which I used daily to see what they forgot to pay me.

Getting online is fine for those with computers, but they should be normal and have paperstubs for those without. Also I guess there is a problem with people printing them out and using them, they don't print in a "normal" mode so some people don't except them as "proof of income" so you have to have them waste time calling payroll....
.....anyway....Big Don Thanks this. -

I see your point. Of course theres some drivers out here who don't even see the point of owning a home. I can see why they would scoff at the idea of owning a computer.

That would be a good thread to start. How many drivers don't own/rent a home or have a permenent adress and the problems that presents.

Why don't you run for congress, change the regs, and make the trucking industry right, instead of coming on here (a board for a company you no longer work for), and putting down everyone who doesn't hate their job?
I've been driving a few years, and worked for a few companies, and whenever I quit them, I was gone, I never looked back. You seem to have a fetish for bashing Knight, and I just can't figure out why. OK, they did not fit your idea of what they should be, I can understand that. But, WHY can't you get on with your life?
And don't give me that story about trying to save the newbies.Last edited by a moderator: Aug 29, 2010
