I'm sorry, no one can force you to sign a lease! You little child! Grow up and take responsibility for your actions. You signed the #### lease so shut the hell up! Try reading what you are signing next time, or have your mom read it for you.

lol this tread still alive its like the poster a few up transam is far from the worst out there my buddy is still doing well.
Like with any company you got to know where there freight lines are and where not togo IF they offer you something with 500 miles and a week to get there to a spot that you know is #### refuse it.
Or keep saying you cant make money and move on to the next failure
    Wish you the best

I've got trucking all in my family, uncle, aunt, brother, sister in law, dad, 2 brother in laws and my grandpa drove back in the old days until he finally died. That doesn't make me any less of a rookie but from taking and hearing talk of the industry and everything in it since I was able to understand it has given me a piece of mind toward it. I've talked to my brother about TA and he's a 13 year veteran in trucking and he told me to go in, mind my business, yes sir and no sir, (something slowly fading away in my generation) and don't refuse any runs the dispatch may give you and you should be fine. Makes perfect sense. If you turn down little aggravating or inconvinient runs then why should dispatch think they'll be able to give you bigger runs. Why not be the guy that takes what you can get so the dispatcher knows no matter what hell be able to give it to you instead of dealing with the sap that gripes and complains all the time?

all i can say is, i have never turned anything down. last week i had a 4100 mile pay check and after trans am gets there part i got $955.00 which i still have to pay taxes out of. this week i had to be home for friday (today) and i put in for thursday at 8pm they got me 300 miles away on monday and told me i had to go on home from there that they had fo loads that would get me back to the house by friday. this is not the first time they have done this to me. so now i will have a negative balance on my check for this week plus i had to pay for the fuel to go home. and to top it off they claim to not have a load leavingout until monday morning. that will give me another week in the negative.
i have been with ta since dec 09 and i am on the verge of loosing my car ,house, and motorcycle.
I have only been home for a total of 11 days all year , notcounting this week.

as far as forcing you to sign a lease. no they dont hold a gun to your head or anything. but like others posted here, they get you down to olathe or rockwall and tell you they have no company trucks you will have to wait, and after a few days of sitting not making anymoney and noway to get back home, the lease dont seems to bad.
if you are just out of school and had to go with a trainer for a few weeks. if you quit and go home they then bill you for you bus ticket to there terminal and for the 3 weeks training, plus the hotel bill while you were in orientation and testing out.
Most of the company drivers i talk to say they are only making around 300 a week, i dont know about you but to me that dont seem like much to be away from your family.
lease pay is .84 a mile plus fuel surcharge on loaded miles only.
I just turned in my notice this morning.I figured i can sit at home and not make money more comfortably than sitting in a truck not making money.

I would like to hear from you about tranAm. They are trying to stick it to me at the moment. I'd like to get together with a few other drivers who have experienced un-ethical treatment from these people. Please reply.

Wow all the rumors lets check a few of them
"rent a job cant make money" ok maybe you cant but alot of us do just because you cant make it work or think that you have it made where you are doesn mean some cant.
First month back i have over 12k miles and 1 of those weeks was a crapper
not going to comment more on this its just beyond me.

"Transam isnt the worst company" Well I know for sure they are not how many trucking jobs have you had? you must be new and I am not downing you take it however you like but there is alot worse out there.

"company drivers make no money" well this is a joke i think right? I mean I wouldnt go company because I like the lease but why is there guys that have been with him for years as company? I guess they like being broke all the time? I have talked to some that say its crap and I have heard from some that say there making good.

"last week i had a 4100 mile pay check and after trans am gets there part i got $955.00"
And nothing againest you at all but something is really wrong there I got over 1100 last week for 3500 miles. Not saying its you so dont start with all the bs but someting is wrong.did you make sure you got all your reimbursements? repairs etc?
Did you check fsc to make sure its right, miles, trips?
For it to be that bad has to be one of the following
    1. holding it to the floor and getting really bad mpg
    2. over adavancing
    3.not getting reimburments
4.The load you turned in on thursday as your last one for that pay period you put to much fuel in if you filled up and only had say 200 miles togo you still have 300-400 in the tank

just giving you tips I mean something there is wrong I made 800 on like 2800 miles

"cant live on 50 bucks a week" Well if your lease you can get up to 140 aweek with nothing crossin line etc this is using there system And I have proof of that for anyone who wants to bet

for guys thinking of trying TA Ill just say try them They have guys that make money and dont alot of it is up to the driver as I have stated in other post alot of things you can do to make more then there is alot of things you can do that I Am not going to post because to be a trucker after all a little brain work is needed.
2 things that affect your check and you need to relize this no matter where you are
1.loads where does it go and when does the drops drop compared to the miles
2.logs all ill say if your a guy like the one i picked up the other day 90 miles from his stop and he wouldnt dev because of his 10 hour rule so I went and picked it up and dropped it off wellll.............. 90 MILES!!! i mean dam i can eat longer then it would take to driver 90 miles this is a no brainer no matter where you work.
They cant force you to but do you think they will ever give this clown any kind of big client of theres are any hot loads?

    And last
The guys that say they are forced to lease I call a big bs yea they may harass you etc and yea you may have to sit but I would not go anywhere Where I didnt have the money to get home
What happens if you would of failed any thing? are somthing od happens and you where stuck somewhere always bring enough to get home on this is a rule no matter where you go.
Ok rant over going back to watching vampire diaries while waiting in dodge city
Pan you still here are you moved on?

screw you ######## that think those of us who went to transam and did everything by the books and still couldn't make money are just cry-babies. all they had to do was what they said they would do. i'm working for a great company (that has lived up to everything they told me would happen-unlike ta) as a company driver and am finally making more money than i made with ta as a lease driver. i'm making the kind of money that ta swore i could make with a lease AND i'm home every other day for at least 10 hours AND every weekend. 3000 miles a week vs 1600 with ta. i run hard, never sit long enough to cool the engine, and i don't hate being in the truck like i did with ta wondering if this week i will be able to put money towards rent.
