Im not with Swift but have done some research so someone else may answer this more accurate ... to my knowledge....
You do not get paid during the CDL training. Your pay would start when you get on your mentors truck.
You can get their locations and other answers possibly from their website here: http://www.swifttruckingjobs.com/new_schools.phpTexas-Nana Thanks this. -
Expect to be at the academy (probably Millington if you are from AR) for about 2 weeks, then back to your home state for about 4 days for CDL road test training (probably for you that means Memphis), then orientation for about 4 days, then out with a mentor for 4-6 weeks to accumulate 240 hrs of driving time.
Don't expect any income until you've been out with your mentor for at least a week.
Bottom line: No pay for academy, no pay for CDL road test training, no pay for orientation.
Good luck! There are many Swifties here on this board who will help you step by step through the Swift process. There are many members on this board, not just the Swifties, that will help you the rest of the way.Texas-Nana Thanks this. -
I went to the Swift websight and I could not find anything on their pay package.
What do they start you off at ? ( I have 5 yrs exp, but not current. been off the road since 03 )
What extra pay do you get ? ( load/unload, layover etc ? -

I assume swift requires the hazmat endorcement? and what is a T-call?
-
Hazmat is not required with Swift. T-call is when you dont take the load to final destination. You drop it at a yard and someone else repowers it to destination. They will have you T-call a load if there is to much time till delivery, you are going home for home time, or it delivers to soon, and you dont have the hrs. to deliver on time.
