I have to say that when I was there I was running Circuit City loads from So Cal to Groveland, Fl and back to So Cal and I brought home between $800 and 1100 a week depending on how many miles I decided to run. They were really easy going and never forced dispatched on me. Of course like the others here said now that Circuit City went out of business there has been some changes as far as terminals having been shut down and such. I know they had other contracts to make up for that loss at the time I was there. They will keep you as busy as you want to be and so long as I let them know when I wanted to be home with at least 2 weeks notice they would get you there on time. When I was at the terminal in Groveland if I did have any questions I was always given time with the owners to ask them. They were really nice people. I have gone through 14 companies in 9 years just trying to find one that followed through with what they promised. This one did for me what the others did not.

they used to be like that but not anymore. i ran out of waco and done good there. until groveland started taking loads from us to put on there trucks. i ran loads for most of the branches done good with them, but everytime the dispatchers in groveland got involved it was a nightmare. i would get a good load then in the middle of getting my info they would send me a msg pulling me off of that load. and wanting to put me on a load from orlando that would have been ok but i was in south carolina they wanted to to ndeadhead to pickup the load. its true they used to work with you but when i left it stopped. i even thought about leasing back on with them but not running out of groveland. i know that the mgr that was in waco is a broker for them now since they closed the office. so i would run out of there. del on time was easy with them since they always gave me pleanty of time. i think they are still a decent company but nothing like they used to be. maybe when the economy comes back it will get better

This company should be avoided at all cost...do not ever try to be employed by these people...they are liars and thieves....They say one thing and they do another, Oh and if your not a big supporter of The "GAYTORS" you will be put in their black flag dept. this means never ever getting real miles...I have actual proof....I have the actual B/L from every load I did with this company...Not copies, but originals, with actual p/u dates and del dates and times....You will get a load of 620 miles, but it doesn't del for 4 days, then your next load will be 420 miles, but now you have to wait 3 days too del this load...then finally you get a load of 132 miles, and yopu have 48 hrs to del this load.....this is actual dispatch....anyone wanting the proof can email me....I have the originals...Lets not talk about letting you set at their yard from friday at 1730 until monday morn at 0600 for a load....Oh, and guess what I only lived 45 min from the yard.....but was told to set and wait for a load.....ya really sucked....If your Not a actual blood relative or married too or grew up with one of the Fulmers, you get treated like, ##!#$%....You know what I mean....I spent 8 months with this company, and I wished I could turn back time, I hated everything about it.....Oh, and if you get one of their great loads of paper from cedar springs Ga or most of any other GP plant, plan on taking a lunch, breakfast, and maybe Dinner, Most drivers are spending anywhere from 8 to 20 hrs at these places, Why? you say, its real simple, they have no idea of what they are doing.....:biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

Just was at a Boise Cascade in Bensenville, IL getting loaded yesterday and was next to a lease operator with CF. He seemed to like it. He was getting home every weekend and claimed to be taking home over $1200 a week average. Not stellar, but not starving. He was doing a lease/purchase deal with them, but is getting ready to buy it out. His name is Anthony, didn't get a truck number. He lives in the Chicago area.

In roughly an hour of chatting with him, he seemed to be quite comfortable with Fulmer. Might be just a fluke. He is the only CF driver I have ever chatted to at length about such things.

yeah and i noticed their recruiter is on another sight doing damage control. he loves it when driver quit he makes alot of money off of new hires. he is lurking around watching to see who posts anything. i noticed he puts some info on line about the driver that is complaining

i talked to a driver for them he was telling me they do force dispatch now.

he was a lease operator claiming to take home 1200 a week and home eavry weekend. dont believe that he was shooting you a bunch bull on that one

Force Dispatched huh.. must be because they have lost more of there customers. I live in NorCal and they used to have a terminal in Salinas and the dispatchers there were really great but I see they closed that one and now everyone is being dispatched by a broker in Fresno and another one somewhere else..not a good thing for me. Most likely will look elsewhere when I am finally get back out there driving again. It's not looking good if they have started this kind of stuff with there drivers now. I know 2 people that were laid off because of downsizing and one was the driver orientation person and the other was the drivers services person. Never a good sign when they get rid of the person who handled all the complaints for the drivers and they have another in the office pulling double duty as a trainer/orientation. They also fired all the good mechanics I knew and kept all the ones that couldn't fix my truck when I brought it into the shop in Groveland...NOT LOOKING OR SOUNDING good anymore. Too bad the old man isn't going in there and getting this stuff back in line with what he had built up so well.

yep they closed that one and the one in waco too. they want to dispatch it all from groveland now. i dealt with the dispatchers in salinas they were good to work with. and i dealt with the broker in fresno never had any problems with him. but anything that groveland had a hand in was a nightmare. i was told they want to focus more on the east and canada now. with alot of ltl loads. dont know how true that is but nothing shocks me with the kids running it now.

the other broker is in modesto

Terrible company if you are the one scheduling loads and they decide not to show up two times in one week! When I called to complain, they decided they could not handle my loads. I was hoping for an apology or anything. The people in the office are EXTREMELY RUDE! Never again will I use this company for any freight hauling!

I live in Daytona Beach. I'm 80 miles from the Groveland terminal. What's the company gonna be like for me, if I go over there?
