So far, no one we have dealt with cleans theirs as part of scheduled maintenance. Everyone kinda gets them cleaned once regening just won't do it anymore.

I heard $300.00 plus the labor to take it off and put it back on. I suppose if anything breaks during the removal you are buying. If you have tools and are handy you can do the R&R yourself and take it in. Might want to start spraying fittings a couple of weeks before you start to give it time to work in. Also if you LIGHTLY tap that stuff after you spray it will work in even better.

Dealer in Toronto Ontario is charging $750 plus broken parts and labour to drill out broken bolts. They are recommending no more than 4500 hours.

only downfall is you have to reset the dpf maintenance feature in CAT ET, cummins, international, and im sure the rest to. If its not done the ecm logic and fueling rate for the dpf goes out of wack.

We have a local guy charging $300 CND. You are looking at at least an hour to r&r plus new gaskets. At some point you will need a trip to a dealer to reset the ECM if it has tripped any after treatment efficiency codes.
We also have a local fuel hauler company with several trucks. They actually bought 3 brand new filters to have on stand by and swap out with plugged units and then send them in for cleaning. So far they have sent in 3, and none can be be cleaned properly. Unknown why, but doesn't sound good to me.

peterbilt dealer I think is charging around $280 plus re+re. Seems to regen fine, but I have noticed that the exhaust sound is a lot more quieter when it is doing a regen, especially with the windows open.I like the howl it gives off but judging by the people on the street and their looks, they dont. Cat says 80k miles or 2400 hrs for severe service, guess I will just keep an eye on it. Thanks for the info guys.

Dpf filters are very expensive to replace. A cummins isx dpf filter will cost you around 1800.00. Thats if your filter isn't cracked and you have a good core. At work we have a dpf filter cleaning machine. It has an air knife that cleans the soot out of the dpf filter. If the filter is cracked you can't have it cleaned. At work we will clean the dpf for 150.00 . You're looking at around 2500-3000 bucks if the core is deemed an unsuitable core per cummins.
