Thanks Panhandle. I think the thing I liked about TA was the trucks and that they are autos. But I am really leaning towards Schneider. They have been around a long time and the job I applied for is regional and will get me home every weekend. It is too bad that companies don't realize that it is the drivers that are making them money. Without them the freight will just sit.

For some reason it never dawned on me to ask you guys, what on earth did you do to your beds to make them comfortable? I actually took the mattress off the bunk and stacked it on my bed to double the layers between me and the metal plate it lies on, but even this sucks lol. Maybe I was just too spoiled with my bed at home. I've thought about getting an air mattress or something to that effect, but I'd like to head what you have done.

It is not a problem driving a manual. I would just prefer an auto.

There's a huge difference between driving a manual in a 4-wheeler, and a class 8 CMV. Ain't the same thing - and any trucking company that runs manuals won't give you a bit of credit for it, or a job.

I bought one of those memoery foam toppers from wally world. There made for a regular twin size so there just a little short. Made a world of difference tho in comfort.
I kind of wish I had gone with a company that had sticks but.....Oh well. I figure I can pick it back up again if needed. -
