I worked in the Breiningsville,PA (DCS Home Depot account) i made good money ($800wk+) and one of the best jobs i had. If you was a stepper you would have no problem makin money(no cry babies). I was local we did all of NYC and Long Island, an Jersey Home Depot stores.

MountainMama said: ↑Can't argue anything for or against JB Hunt since I am not a truck driver, but I did the math: .42 x 2000 = 840 and .35 x 2400 = 840, so the JB Hunt pay does NOT beat the current industry model.

She also missed the fact that JB is the future industry standard.
Hello electronic logs....and short miles.
Then we see how 2000 miles at .42 stacks up against 2000 miles at .36 a mile. -
I recently talked to a JB rep.i had two options.Run NYC Long Island on a daily basis and be home everyday but commute 1 hr to work in my car.Or region New England for almost the same pay.I have Apps out a SNI,Fed EX,local Pepsi and JB. Its so tough on who to pursue even further.I'm really hoping for Fed Ex as the term is by commuting distance from home. but im still not sure....So tough.
Jb does sound pretty reasonable and there rep was wicked nice -

The fallacy of this model is the added cost of constant training and replacement of drivers, and insurance... that... and alot of people don't like you.Click to expand...
Apples to apples J.B. has a better plan with a more stable work force. -
In Houston it's 43 cpm for hazmat only. .32 for dedicated beer etc.
-
Also, pay varies with location correct? as far as CPM.I would think that's why im seeing a little bit more around my area of Taxachusetts.
-
When I was at JB I was making .33 cpm, I guess if you got like 10 or 20 yrs exp then you can make that .42cpm you keep throwing around. .33cpm and only 2000 miles a week aint much...
