Actually It's someone else job but she does not mind if anyone trashs Knight. Especially people who have not worked their for years or never point out that not all terminals at Knight operate the same.
Some have a shop some don't some have crappy dispatchers some have good ones some pay you like they should some don't some get you home some want to keep you out for ever. Some have dirt lots and porta poddys some have TV rooms and showers. etc..
If you want to know about Knight then ask someone from your hometown. Look at any Knight truck and it will say the city that truck is from in most cases. A driver from Ohio is not going to know diddly about how it will be to work out of the NW and vise versa.
So these poeple that come on here and claim you will get screwed no matter what are just deceiving you unless they are talking about only the terminal they worked at.
Is anyone else having any problems with Knight?

Code:
I worked the paper logs as much as I felt I could safely drive and not get caught. I always kept my dispatcher informed as to my available hours and always attempted to deliver early. I never had a preventable service failure. I was consistently in the top 5 or 10 productive drivers in my terminal.
I don't what else I could have done to make more money . I was fired for verbally abusive language to a shipper that had been holding me up for 9 hours on a load that was supposed to be preloaded and was my load home for Thanksgiving and my first time off in 59 days! (Gee, wonder why I had such a bad attitude? )
THEN the Knight family attempted to blackball me with a misleading entry on. Y DAC report!
I beat that bum rap, barely! Firing me was the best thing they ever did as I now have the best job I ever had!
So screw you, Knight#!! -

"So these people"...who specifically? Everyone here except maybe two people seem to be able to accept Knights dismal and pathetic outlook on various issues (your one of them). Where are all of the new drivers that come here to share their travels and like clockwork drop off the face of the earth never to be heard from again? I would imagine they quit driving all together OR found new jobs that earn them at least an extra $10,000 a year than Knight was willing to pay them for a years worth of honest hard days at work. -
And as far as "selfishly chooses to open a training company", did you know how to drive a truck before you knew how to drive a truck?
Also, got any figures on the percentage of "Squire" trucks to "Knight" trucks? From what I've seen, it's minuscule. And as far as I know, trainees at least have to have graduated from a reputable CDL school, unlike a lot of big companies that will take someone off the street.
Sounds like more sour grapes.BigFurls Thanks this. -

I don't get that with veteran drivers. This other driver is obviously new (Squire truck) and having some difficulties...why do the old hands find it necessary to set back and watch mayhem unfold, rather than getting out and offering a hand?
Of course "I helped this Squire driver out" doesn't sound as impressive as "You ain't gonna believe what this Squire driver did"...BigFurls Thanks this. -
I have to wonder where the trainer was? Sitting in the passenger seat like a dufus? -

You have to look really hard to find someone who remembers the fact that we are all out here trying to the same thing...make money. I figure that most of these sour apples out here just hate their lives, themselves, their fat wifes, dumb kids, and intend on letting the world know. It's a shame that's for sure.
Too many of the trucks we see out here are so filthy, beat up, duct taped together, tailgating a car, and driven by the very unbathed dirt bag driver I described above. I guess will see what CVSA 2010 does to some of them.
