Really just getting started so probably not enough. I do reside in Palatka though will shoot a pm regardless. I appreciate the gesture indeed.

Forgot to mention last week got pulled in for a Level I in Troutville VA. It went ok and the guy was professional and kind. Found a very small leak in one of my drive brake chambers but didn't write it up. Not a bad learning experience all in all. The DOT guy explained everything as he went along and I came away from it educated and pleased.

dang...why do people on here get so butt-hurt and take everything anybody says so personal? I was making a general comment. And it was light hearted. hence, the little 'smile' at the end? must have missed that.

Last year or it might have been late 2008, Swift driver was picking up a GP load. Didn't bother to check the locking jaws, and pulled the trailer, and it ended up sliding down a hill, taking out a power pole, and knocked out the whole plant for a good few days. Cost Swift a few bricks of $100 bills. Probably why they lost a % of the account, we have a bigger % of careless drivers.

Just the current trip paperwork and cb. Anything else I might 'need' stays in the passenger seat including atlas and logbook. They were just doing randoms that day best I can figure. Prepass yelled red, entrance ramps said red, then across scale got red light and speaker says 'Swift pull around to inspection pit please.' Weight was perfectly legal, matter of fact a rather light load than I'm used to since I've been solo.

just curious. I've been lucky enough to not get a level 1. Some drivers get pulled around, wonder why they get pulled around, but they have every receipt from anything they've ever bought thrown up on the dash, bags of sun flower seeds, roll of paper towels, maybe even a used roll of fly paper, and a can of chew. then wonder why they get pulled around back. yeah, i know that isnt all they are looking for, and sometimes they pull around every 7th truck regardless, BUT a messy lookin' dash does nip a few.

Got out from under the load outta NJ today delivered to Schutz in Doraville GA (Atlanta).
Carried my empty up to Mohawk Industries in Dalton and bobtailed out. Have a preplan for a hook tomorrow in Cleveland TN going to Memphis. Woohoo! Maybe I can get my girl into the truck wash. Anyway, I'm feeling better today and back at it with my attitude. Take care Swifties.

Delivered in Memphis and voila, no mts. Went to terminal for the night, heh wrong move. Had a preplan with 3 picks in AR, Jonesboro, Wynne and West Memphis going to Grainger in upstate SC can't remember the city now near Greenville. Well, checked for mt in the early a.m. me still operating on edt. Night guy sends me across town to get one. Ok no biggie. Get there and two mts. Pick the best one a fairly new duraplate after spotting a couple trailers for the customer. Dispatch says can't have that one, is already rolled into a future load. Ok, so hook to the T trailer (yuck) which had a few issues which is why I didn't want it. While getting e called and dispatched a local day cabber rolls in and hooks and jooks with the nicer mt I had been told couldn't have. Oh well, right? Right? Well, fuel route comes in back to Mem yard for fuel. Rolled into the island and promptly had the T trailer red tagged by the nice guys doing trailers safeties. Tire was changed at the island then sent around to door 20 to wait for the side panel and door seal repairs LOL!! Needless to say I'm not making the appointment for my first pick in Jonesboro AR. QC beeps 'go inside and ask at window for another mt' LOL! Lo and behold, yes they have MANY! So spot the red T trailer and get my new mt send in Macro 22 and finally get rolling. Get to customer and sit for 4 hours for the live load. QC beeps 'have to get the other two picks in the a.m.' Lovely. Search for a parking place near Wynne for pick 2 in the a.m. end up in a rest area. Pick 2 goes good, roll to W Memphis for pick 3 and sit for 5 hours. Woohoo! Anyway got some road time in towards SC that day and spent the night on an offramp near B'ham AL. Roll the rest of way in had my delivery reset from the previous days Mac 22 and get er done at Grainger. PP came in meanwhile to pick up in Lyman SC chep pallets for Tropicana, Bradenton FL. E call after my drop and get dispatched and rolling about 57 miles away. QC beeps 'too late to pick up, grab at 0800' ok fine I'm at T/A 3 miles from customer with my pick of parking and a shower on the card. Life is ok. At home now a day or so early under a pp tcalled out of Ocala for 1530 appt in Jax tomorrow. Officially start hometime tomorrow so love how that works LOL! At any rate, was a decent week. Hope y'all are having great swift moments! Enjoy the rest of your weekend wherever you are.

Had a good few days at home and got some stuff done. Used my brand new shiny health insurance and got set up with a new cardiologist! Hadn't had insurance since Feb so that is a relief. Meds are good and re-prescribed and got my stress test scheduled for next hometime to get out of the way for another year. That will make Swift and DOT happy when my 1 year card comes up. PTA out for in the morning at 1000, already have a nice pre-plan. Pick up preload in Jax at a Micheals DC and make a 3 stop trip into GA ending in Athens. Should be a nice end to the week. Going to probably try and get into Decatur or Greer for Sims and Log class requirements and knock that out then get serious about preparing for winter miles. Hope all are doing well.
