My New Favorite Truck Stop!!

Russells Truck and Travel Center & Car Museum

Texas, NM I-40, exit 369

They haven't been open long. We stopped in there yesterday. Very large, clean showers, a fantastic restaurant, an amazing museum.

This is now officially my new favorite stop!!

Yeah, I think it has the same owner. The guy in the museum said the owner has another TS, somewhere, I can't remember where he said it was.

This is a really nice place....they even have two dog runs outside, one of which is fenced in, so you can let your pets off the leash and run. It's all loose dirt, and there is a big can, and shovel, to clean up after your pet.

In my eyes, the only other thing I would put in this TS, is at least one shower room that also has a tub....ya know, us ladies DO like a good soak, every now and again!!

This Russells is brand-spankin'-new. The other one has been around for awhile, though.

They even post their menu on their website, so if you won't have time to sit-down, you can call ahead, order take-out, and it will be ready for ya when you get there.

I don't believe that this place will get as trashed as many truck stops do. They all seem to be on the ball, as far as keeping everything clean and neat.
