Going to orientation in Phoenix

Yeah, it may take a bit longer to get all the time in, but my mentor said it should still be close to the six week mark. Once the first 50 hours is done we will run as a team, so we will get some longer runs that will get me more hours driving.

Backing should be no problem since most runs are three drops.

We're out again tonight at 10, for LA this time. Three stops.

 

Sounds like you got a pretty good set up Jerry, three stops per run yeah that shouldn't take long for those backs. As for me I started the flatbed training today and that's cool, we took apart the coil, got our steel toe boots, practiced throwing the 4 inch strap over the ship containers which for some reason took me three tries, not too heavy just awkward throwing motion I guess. Lastly, still not coded. They said it could take until Friday but still, bummer that it apparently has too.

 

They called and asked if you were available? That's kind of weird, what are you supposed to say to that? Yeah, not a good time, don't want to get paid right now. Anyway, sounds like it will be soon, that's good.

 

They give You the boots?

 

Half price, $22 that they will payroll deduct. They seem like pretty good quality. Also had gloves for $5 if you needed those. The vests, hard hats and safety glasses are all loaned to you and you will get your own (they will supply) once you get your own truck.

 

yeah there are 40+ people in the current orientation here. Long wait for them probably. I said it up above but no, didn't get coded again, they said it could be Friday earlier in the week but still. Kinda sucks being in limbo plus they don't tell you a #### thing about why it's taking longer than everyone else.

 

Wonder if I should bring My steel toe boots, I have two different kinds of gloves, I have a hard hat around here somewhere..

The vests are the safety (green or yellow) kind with the glow strips on the front and back..
