One thing I didn't like about landstar, is that alot of the best paying loads, never hit the board. The agent's have their favorite drivers. And everyone else gets the lower paying loads..
Landstar says that doesn't happen.. But their drivers all know it does.

Actually it's been proven that in automotive freight what they tell the driver it's paying and what it actually pays is two different amounts. A LS Canadian driver found some Ford paperwork by accident a few years ago and got a lawyer and he was given a lot of money to keep his mouth shut. But he still tells his story driver by driver. Landstar might have enough benefits to keep us with them but if ANYONE thinks there not corrupt they are seriously mislead. They could be the greatest carrier ever but greed took them over years ago along with any other company that started honest. It's just a shame that we are forced to work for a corrupt company because there is no alternative. Every large carrier is corrupt these days. Some worse than others but all in the same. As the crooked world turns. That's my thinking.Native Dancer and Brickman Thank this. -

I know LANDSTAR very very WELL.
You not think if they HAD PAID off a driver to keep his LIPS zipped and he was mouthing off he would be in COURT pretty darn fast.
I heard the SAME bs but it was a CHRYSLER load and someone had asked him if he would take the paperwork back and it ACCIDENTLY opened and he read itand I got that 1st hand from the 3rd cousin of the truckstop manager that overheard 2 guys talking about it.

I didn't get anything from a truck stop. The guy that told me was the guy it happened too. He has his own yard in East Detroit and has a crew who does US/Canadian transfers. He now has a huge house in Canada and a big place here. He makes VERY good money at Landstar now with a much nicer contract. -
Yeah OK
