Yeah, we have GPS.....it is not truck friendly....it will tell you to go down residential streets...does not follow the route solution....and will often tell you to get off the highway way before you are supposed to (then it keeps telling you to turn around) or to turn down a street before you get to yours....but then it will straighten out and get back on course when you go past where it wants you to turn. It gives you the time it will take to get there, but that is always wrong until you get close.

That software they are using is for cars. they low bid when they bought it it is also normally a 1/10 of a mile off. it will route you under 13.6 send you thru mobile home parks. best thing I have found is mute it and turn off the screen.

Wow, that explains a lot!!!!! I have to keep mine turned on, tho, because sometimes it actually helps me get out of town or get straightened out after it gets me lost...LOL

truck software does not route you thru trailer parks, parkways thru towns that say no trucks. if If as you say it is because they do not want to set the correct settings then it is car software.

oh it does somethings right like has-mat routing, or 285 around atlanta but then it tells you to turn right and i can see the sign 12'4" 200 ft down that road. or tells me to turn off the freeway 5 miles befor i should and go right thru downtown lincoln to get to my fuel stop when it's 5 miles down the freeway at the end of the off ramp....

the one in my truck never works period...and when it did i had the same problem with it being wrong sometimes...i would just use it as a guide line to go by as far as keeping up with how far out i was from my destination...but i learned to not count on it 100 percent
