Well after posting that little story I decided to go to take the last of the 11 General Knowledge practice tests for the first time.
I have been averaging between 78 and 83% which I consider not too bad considering I have only fully read over the information 1 time so far.
I was shocked when I clicked submit and scrolled down to see that I had gotten 100% on this one, first try!!![]()

Well today I had another big scare!! But I'll start from the beginning...
This morning around 11 AM (CST) my phone rang and it was a 417 (Missouri) number. Nervously I answered the call and it was Christine, my recruiter. She asked if I had time to do my interview. We were still about 60 miles from our delivery so I said yes. She began asking me questions and everything was going great... until we got to my employment history.
When she began asking me about my employment history and I told her I haven't worked since September of 2008 she told me that she didn't think she would be able to bring me in because they usually don't hire anyone with more than 1 year of unemployment :smt022She started to ask about why and what I had been doing during that time but before I got a chance to explain, and at the WORST possible time, my stupid phone dropped the call.
I tried calling back right away but she was already on the phone with another student and had 2 on hold. I hoped she didn't think I hung up on her but with the inconvienent timing of the dropped call I couldn't be sure. I was a nervous wreck at this point.
I kept calling back and eventually got through to her about 45 minutes later. I told her what happened and was going to explain to her the reasons for the long period of unemployment. Before I could even begin she said that my application was currently on a supervisors desk so they could review and either deny or approve that part before continuing my interview. She would call me back when she knew something.
I had no idea how long it would be before she got back to me... and after hearing what she said earlier, I have to admit, I wasn't hopeful about my chances.
Thankfully only about 3 hours later she got back to me, the supervisor approved my unemployment time!!Christine finished up the rest of my interview and told me that she would turn my app back over to the supervisor for the rest of it to be approved (including my 25 over ticket which could still get me denied). She also requested that I find out a few pieces of information for her that I didn't know offhand (the phone number for my high school and comm. college and my old florida drivers license number). She again said she would get back to me when she knew something.
After getting off the phone with her I found the information she needed and emailed it to her.
If I don't hear from her in a day or two I will call her to make sure she got my email and to check and see if she's heard anything.
I will update again when I find out something. Hope you all are doing well and staying safe!

I will say another prayer for you tonight. Keep you chin and spirits up. If they approved the work history, you have a good chance that they will approve your speeding ticket. Don't let it stress you out. Trust me, if it's meant to be, it will be... We are all praying for you.
Take care and be safe on the roads.

I got the bumped up to supervisors desk for approval of a normally disqualifying item as well. Termination from last job after 13.5 years is a no-no I guess.
It's quite discouraging and stressful to say the least.
Hopefully we will both get good phone calls tomorrow -
I hope it doesn't take them ages to get back to me...lol.
You take care also!
Take care!

Relax, Katey, you have so much time in front of you. Even if things don't get moving for a couple of years, you will still be younger than some when you do start.
You are going to be an asset to our industry, and I know you can't wait to get behind the wheel, but don't burn yourself out worrying. Good things happen to good people.Katey Thanks this.
