Mark, I have the T5B model and the dock won't let me update, it ask for my address to send an SD card but it has been weeks and still no card. I have uninstalled the dock and reinstalled it but it still won't update.

    Chris,

E-Mail me with your name, address (no PO box), and the serial number off the back of the TND (bottom right).

This goes for anyone else waiting for the updater SD Card.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark, I have a TND-700, OS version 10.9.1808.1617
How long should the battery last? mine seems to die from full charge in about two hours.
    Is this normal?
and what is the micro ssd card for in the side of the unit?
    Thanks A.J.

    Hi,

You got a good battery then. Most when running in a route and with full brightness will run about 30 min. This is due that the TND was expected to stay connected to an AC\DC source when in use.

The Micro Slot is reserved for future use. If you stick an micro SD Card in it, all it will do is keep the dust out. Rand has plans for this slot later.

    thanks

yeah mine dies pretty fast if the plug wiggles loose.

so i stopped in barstow ca tonight and my 500 was working great. when i left the sound was all weird. like she would get half a syllable out and then it would be all distorted. by the time i was in LA i was getting no sound at all. i tried turning it off and on and changing the volume levels around not sure if its broke for good or just having a hiccup.

as much as i fight with and yell at the poor lady, i would still rather have the sound working than not.

my tnd 700 was about a mile behind me
when turning from I-29 to I-90 I had made the turn and headed east while The truck on my 700 was just negotiating the cloverleaf
This has happened a couple of times lately
Telling me to turn after the road has past.
fisrt time in Albuquerque I blamed it on all the overpasses I was under but when it did it in in Elmo, MT I started to wonder (it cost me 70 miles)

any tips how to resolve this problem...

I guess its safe to assume that Rand wont be releasing an iPad app until they figue out how to make it work on their own hardware?
