I had to find that quote...its been over a year since I posted that message. That message also was posted during what many consider to be part of the low end of the economic downturn.
3k miles isn't unheard of. Many people brag about it, but its not rare at all. In my team operation we drove 3500 miles a week, and that wasn't running 24/7. It included multiple stops and such and if we ran constantly, we would have been able to get quite a bit more miles. Thankfully, I got a salary pay and the way it worked out...I actually made some pretty good money working for SNI in what I ran.
I hear about lots of people sitting for freight, as much as I hear about other drivers for Schneider who DON'T sit for freight. I think alot of it depends on who you work with and how you work.
schneider is the worst.

not to much. i usually have my follow up load with in 50 miles of of delivery. if not, i get on the phone and they are usually gettting one to me. btw, swift and i think england or the cheapest. i think england pays its new driver 24 cents per mile. even less then swift.

trucking sucks there no money your gone all the time !!!takes a lot of money to make a little when i first started out i was makeing good money but now nobody wants to pay go no strike i say !!!!!!!!!!
