After a year of waiting & tons of research, I finally bought a new gps, t5e. My biggest holdup was having had a WorldNav that I absolutely hated & replaced in less than a month.

So far I have few complaints with the TND. I updated it (278 updates!) the day after I got it & like some of the new features that were added.
The only issues I've had, so far, are it getting confused (could be me) & not showing truck POIs consistently.

Right now I'm in Tamarac, FL & was organizing the address book into groups, since then, although it is routing from here & the map correctly shows my location, the "county/city" bar shows I'm in Minneapolis?? ODD!

Thank you, Mark, for all of your typing! I have read every page & really appreciate having some idea of what may happen & how to deal with it!!

    Thanks,

If you go to main screen\preferences\device\gps data, click on this and on the bottom right, how many satellites are used\seen?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Just wanted to say that after reading all 127 pages of this thread over the past few days, I decided to take the plunge and buy a T7E. I'm in dutch with our safety department over two 80+mph readings I incurred out west over the past year so I'm hoping that neat feature where it warns you if you are going x MPH over the speed limit might help me stay out of trouble :biggrin_25522:

The TND Dock installed flawlessly (I'm on a low end Toshiba Satellite computer) as did the updates. Before doing any updates though, I *did* perform a FULL backup (just in case you wondered if any of your advice is getting through to folks Mark..:biggrin_2559:)

I've played with it a little and it seems fairly easy to navigate around the menus and screens. The graphics look great (I'm torn between the rocket truck and the tank though! :biggrin_255:)

Will let you all know how it works out :biggrin_25525:

Not to worry, I got a letter wanting to know why I was doing 160mph in a 62 mph truck... good thing the people looking at the reports can think..

    Thanks,
    Mark

I-15 south Nevada from the Arizona border to California it has a truck speed of 55, posted speed is all 75 except thru the Vegas area
then when you cross into California it has a speed of 70mph for the first 40 miles...

I feel it should be added Mark. I want to "Pull the trigger" and buy one, but it seems too early in the process. The little man on my shoulder keeps saying "wait a while longer".......
