She is getting excited too....
We both are starting to have a little anxiety also, about the fact that we will be part for about 3 months. This will be the longest we've been apart in the 27 years we've been married.
All I have to say is "THANK GOD FOR SKYPE"

and yes - I will 'friend' others - just let me know you are from here in a message. Also we have Bariatric Truckers - that is for my WLS friends and our journey doing both the Trucking and maintaining our WLS lifestyle.

Brings back memories hearing you guys talk about your plans. They were pretty similar to my wife and I's. She was going to go through school at home while I was going to go and get on with the company so that I could train her when she was done. Didn't quite go as planned but ended working out for the best. I wish you guys luck, just keep in mind that whatever road you take it will be the right one!
The Challenger and Lady K Thank this. -

BIG NEWS!! Just found out today Klingon and I are going to be GRAND PARENTS!! (only child - first kid) WOW how life just seems to work out some how! With what we are doing - and the kids moving into the house to 'take care' of it... out of their SMALL apartment - which is NOT in the best neighborhood. Yeah - I'm excited!! Also a bit sad - I won't be here for her pregnancy - but we are going to try to be back on the West Coast in Aug - that is when she is due. Maybe work and build up our 'days off' to use them after the little one is born... Ah who knows - things will work out - they have so far!!

Today,
I "kind of" raised a little stink about the time in (or lack of time) in the trucks today... I evern talked to one of the instructors and they told me that from what they say so far, I didn't need as much stick time as others (I do agree about that) but I did get more times behind the wheel today to work on my 'skills' so I am happy there.
We went out on the road this afternoon, I got to spend an hour on the road. Rush hour traffice. We also hit the freeway, I was driving after 3pm so I had to deal with the metered traffic lanes... fun.
The instructor said that I did the best of everyone except for one thing, and I knew I blew it just as I did it too. I was trying to change lanes in traffic and not watching enough in front of me! It was a stupid "Stupid Rookie" move too.... changed lanes just as I crossed into an intersection! I even called my self a "stupid ###" just as I did it. He told me later he heard me say it and because he heard it he didn't say anything about it at the time... (I had thought I had used my inside voice but I guess not).
Then I got home and got the bomb dropped on me... and It JUST MADE MY FREAKING WEEK!
I'm going to be a Grandpa!!!!!!!!!!
I am so happy! "I'm going to be a Grandpa".... "I'm going to be a Grandpa"....
But that does toss a wrench into the plans of not coming back to Sacramento for a couple of years.... Going to have to be here in Aug. for when the baby is born....orion3814 Thanks this. -
congrats on the soon to come grandchild.
Lady K Thanks this.
