US foods

If I can do 10 years at $60-$70 I can retire with some level of comfort.
I own all my vehicles and toys (and I have a few),my home is just a little over 6 years from being paid off and although I have a wallet full of credit cards some with ridicules limits like $18,000 or more I don't carry a balance on any of them.
Lost a good job a couple years back and most of my retirement savings but never got upside down like a lot of folks so I count my blessings.
If I can do half of that time at a hard job like food delivery then land something a little easier on the body but still with good pay I'll be a happy camper and within my game plan.

Then again.....maybe I'll hit the lottery and retire early.

Im hopefully getting into this type of work soon. I invested in a mueller back support i bought on amazon .com....I currently dont have back problems but made the investment just in case. Another driver who does this work recommended I didnt use the support. Any of you experienced guys have a take on this. I also was recommended to get a memory foam piece for my mattress and I bought some wolverine slip resistent steel toe boots...any advise would be appreciated

 

i've been delivering food for sysco for 17 years. work smart, safety first, and everything else will fall into place. have never used a back support.use your legs when you lift, work at a steady pace, and have fun.

I say I make 52cents per case and I make 52 cents per case. What is so hard to understand? And yes when it is a pallet drop, it makes it easy and that makes me finish in even less than an hour. My average case per day is 600 - which is $312.00 for that 600 case.

Remember my division is one of the highest paid division plus we are located in the tri-state area

So by the way I am not FOS - that's just what my day is like

 

some people are just envious. i'm about 3 hours north of you in albany ny.

 

Driving where the traffic is so dense you guys deserve to be paid good. Cost of living in your area is probably overwhelming too. Maybe the other guy didnt take that in to consideration.
I wonder if showtime was 290lbs the whole 12 years he was in foodservice? Had to be a tough guy to go up and down that ramp being that big!!!

 

i know that when i worked there about ten guys was making about 90 to 100,000 a year there but they were senior drivers with large accounts and alot of cases every day, but average driver will make about 60 to 70 a year average about 500 or 600 cases but you will work long hrs about 4 days a week its not bad once you get use to the work. you will drive very poor old tractors

 

i work # the new york metro division i would say the top 30 driver include myself make over $100,000 for the paast 2 years weather u want to believe it or not that's a fact.

 

i would averaga the maximum 5 stop per day all my stops r hospital an nursing homes between 800-1000 cases they r all pallet drop it should'nt the maximum time that should take me is about 3 hrs to get it off my truck
