Any questions from prospects or lookers from real Watkins and Shepard drivers?

thanks i am nervous about getting into this field of work. I don't want to pay for school and then be out of work. I start school in about a month and really want to work at w/s I've contacted a recruiter and filled out an app. she said everything looks good but I'm worried about the economy.

Glad to see all the good things about a company. Just reinforces that I made the right decision. I am supposed to be starting orientation in Conover on March 28th. Can't wait to get started.

 

Did you guys have to sign a contract requiring you stay with W/S a certain period of time with punitive consequences if you don't?

 

i just changed my orientation to March 28. school is going to take longer than i thought you have to log a certian number of hours and there aren't enough trucks for everyone right now.

 

So how many people on average start orientation every week?

 

Part of it may be that a lot of WIA money has run out, so there are fewer people going through commercial schools until June or July. We only have two in my class. I wouldn't mind there being more than two when I go to orientation next month, but if not, I'll deal.
