I was midnight dispatcher when Chem Leaman took over driving for the Liquid Carbonic plant in Burlington, NJ. They folded Carbonic's So. Jersey guys into our board [both local 312] and dumped the guys in North Jersey which ended up in court.

It used to stink sending guys out to do 5 NYC hospitals every night, at least once a week there would be some doctor's Mercedes parked over the concrete pad dripping oil...Had to convince a Brooklyn cop he didn't need to evacuate the neighborhood when a Nitrogen trailer popped a burst disc on his beat.

We had one driver and trailer that used to go to a Naval base and recharge the Oxygen system on a Nuke sub, had a special vaporizing unit to expand the Liquid O2 back to 100% gas, cyro is neat stuff.

You got that right....Well, just so you know, those idiot doctors still park their cars on the Lox pads, only now it's usually some moron MD with a quad cab dodge diesel, still dripping oil. I blew the dog house off a Lox trailer at Cedars Sinai in 1989..The hospital had poured fresh asphalt right up to the pad. We pointed out that oxygen and asphalt don't mix...Drained my hose, lox ran into a seam between the concrete and the asphalt. Pulled away, Lox compressed and there it went..Pretty impressive flash fire..But then, I think it's fun to light stack fires on a liquid hydrogen trailer..Sounds like an F-18 getting ready to take off..And, it has the added benefit of keeping management away from us when they try and "watch us"....LOL, Hospitals still suck for the most part..

It was a bad deal when AGA bought the two plants in CA from what i heard you guys got a bad deal ....as far my memories of AGA was best trucks and trailers on the road( loved that red and white) paid hourly treated like a person not a number...( hated running 57 mph.but were hourly)...as far as Linde goes its a great job( trucks and trailers arent near as pretty as the old red and whites..) good money performance pay ,run legal, good benifits...good people ...no complaints...I do rest and roll which IMHO is the best of the best...average 2400-2900 miles a week normally make 9-12 deliveries haul 3-4 loads (LAR) hit a motel at 200am sun-thur...lifes good...Lindes a good place for anybody wanting in the tanker business....

I just applied to their chester, va terminal (Linde). Did phone interview with some recruiter from the linde staff team & now waiting on the terminal manager to give call back. Any advice cc_tanker?

Ruan is also advertising cryogenic work but why work for 3rd party, I bet pay is lousy or they get all the leftover runs.

who is CTI hauling for in Chester?..(IMHO) Ruan would probably be a lot better deal than CTI...ruan is pulling for airgas ( used to be national cryogenics before airgas bought them) the guys that I know pulling for ruan in madison wisc and bethlehem pa are pretty happy and make descent money with ruan....i do know a couple guys pulling for cti that are fairly content with cti but what I have saw and heard I feel ruan would be the better of the two..

CTI is getting the Airgas contract in Bozrah, Ct. Trimac had it since buying out logex the drivers will be making less money once cti comes in, they are going to pay local drivers on a road drivers pay scale. I was just told by a friend that they are looking for O/O and paying them 95 cpm ARE THEY SERIOUS?? lmao I am happy that I will NOT be working for them once the change over happens on June 11th
