Calex Express....My New Home!

Well guys I'm sitting here in bolingbrook waiting for my midnight delivery I also pick up at the building next door which ill deliver Tuesday in mira loma at costco at 0645 after that ill head home tell Friday then do it all over again it was nice to meet all the new guys on wensday mike steelfan etc and elph it was good to finnaly put a face to ur name I meet u before but never new u where on the forum I was the one in the bud hat trk 302 but y'all be safe n see ya around and if y'all need my number just let me know n ill pm ya

Hey guys quick question for you....

If you work for Calex please answer me this question, will they hire me?

I have 3 years of OTR exp and 2 years local, I did 3 years from 03-06 and 2 years local from 06-08. I talked to few companies and was told I don't have enough recent exp, how does Calex look at recent exp?

 

Call them up and ask. It never hurts to place a phone call into Mort.

All I can say is call safety but I do know u must have 1yr recent experince with us and that's mininum so call mort and explain your situation

 

Hey everyone. It was great meeting everyone this week at Calex. I made some new friends. I did my first load to Norwood Mass yesterday, then home around 10pm last night. Went to newark for a load to Plains Pa for monday, but load wasn't ready. Off to a wedding tonight, then go back to Newark for that load on Monday in the am, and bring it right to Plains warehouse. Have a great weekend, drive safe, and I'll see you coasters on the flip!!

 

Yes I am still here and loving my time at Calex,they are keeping me busy , so much so that I too just met Johnboy face to face Thurs after six months here, as well as several others . It was nice to meet everyone. W ell I left thurs. afternoon for a load from Mcelhattan Pa. for a Mon. 5 am delivery in Orlando Fl. My first truck went in for a normal service and the shop decided to do a top end overhaul on it. I was told I would get it back in a couple of weeks,but just in case I went ahead and cleaned it out of my personal belongings. Glad that I had done this after arriving Wed. and finding out that it has not even been started yet. Loaner truck needed a/c worked on to be up to Florida weather. They looked at me a little funny when I asked them too check a/c after they just recieved 9 inches of snow , but I said it was 85 in the south. Just to rub it in a little. sorry johnboy,this has nothing to do w/calex.but i am interested in the gas boom in n.pa. i hear many different stories about the pay $30 hr.91 hrs a week?? also about the days worked i hear anywhere from 42 days on w/14 off to all different variations.was wondering the real deal.so rhino if u can fill me in i"d appreciate it.thxs. elkman

 

Well john ill be right behind u I didn't get loaded tell 3pm yesterday went down to joplin to park ill be in santa rosa nm tonight then ill be in kingman Sunday then home on Monday for a few hrs then deliver 0600 in mira loma tues morning
