I am not talking about an AFEES load...
I was refering to loads that require security clearances...most of them usually have orange placards on the trailer you know CLASS A OR B explosives and or Blasting caps...or missles or bombs and other ammunitions....and the DOD is monitoring the qc.....like I mentioned before the very short list of CMV's companies that haul that for them...just keep your eyes out you'll see them out there now and then...

Who said anything about AAFES? (Army/Air Force Exchange Service)

And, further, who said the US Guv'mint was the only outfit to require a security clearance?

Sheesh! You guys and your guv'mint!

I had a trainer back when I first came into the Marine corp who was security forces. He was stationed at some nuke base in FL and him and a team would go out and meet the trucks coming to the base with certain things and they would be the security for them. He was telling me some cool stuff like sitting under a hardshell on a pickup with a can of soda, a bag of chips and a M240G with a few hundred rounds for it. Sounds like fun to me!

Good story, but forget about the nukes because nobody met them or knew where they were until one hour before arrival. They didn't need any security forces over the road, they had that covered. I was in the Navy that unloaded these trucks and no Marines ever went out and met these trucks. However, he could have provided security on base.
