I was qouted 3800 for school. Now if I pay outright can I try to bargian with them, or is that not professional. The reason I ask is because I went to pay my dues today and the individual who was assisting me prior was not there. well when I sat down to fill out the paper work this new individual asked " how will you be paying for this" and I stated I will pay the entire cost now. She paused and said well you are better of talking to so and so because you can get a good deal. I said okay and left. Now I am wondering if bargaining is part of the process and should I try for a lower cost first.

A lot of schools are privately owned, so trying to haggle with the owner can't hurt.

ALWAYS haggle for cash bought things from people....

When I did my refresher course, they wanted $3500 for the school......I already went to a school, had my Class A with my endorsements, and Could drive and teach circles around their instructors....I paid $2800 Cash if I remember correctly

Start low, lower than 3300. All they can say is no, what do you have to lose?

you got lucky..if it were me and i owned the school i'd ask you, "do you think i get a discount on insurance, taxes, fuel, payroll, etc, etc...??"

    consider yourself lucky this time......

learn all you can now, but be forewarned, if you ever have to return to that school for a refresher course/training.....you ain't gonna get a discount.....you already got ONE.......
