Wannabefair, let me ask you a question. I know you probably don't know much about trucks but, when you met them in Greencastle, what kind of truck were they driving?

The reason I ask this is that the stereotype that I formed of your ex based upon the info you supplied is this; he is one who cares much more about appearances and such more than other things, like pay. I base that one the "new leather jackets, jewelry, tats, and pitbull" that you describe.

There are still some companies running around that will put these guys in big, fast, shiny petes and KW's and pay them next to nothing because that is what the drivers want. I could name half a dozen companies like this off the top of my head.

My point is that is is POSSIBLE to make only $2100 a month while driving full time, however it is utterly stupid in my opinion.

My guys make about twice that much a month on average, maybe a little more, and I really wish I could pay them more than that. I don't feel like my pay is competitive with what a good driver can get from a larger, more lucrative carrier, but they tend to stay with us for other reasons. I could never fathom paying a driver $2100 a month and expecting them to survive alone on that, much less raise a family.

By the way, my wife's ex husbands pay $375 month each for one child each. Well sorry, one pays that and the other is a worthless deadbeat that won't hold a job, but that's another story.

The state average in Ga is 25% of thier gross, you can go as high as 29% but that is usually kinda difficult. I was a single parent for 13 years.. fought the fight you are in now. She would duck the people serving her papers, she would get her employer to lie about whether she worked for tips etc. Let him dig his own grave. When he gets 30+ days behind in his support, go to the sherrifs department, DA's office, go to the judges chambers and see if you can talk to them..or anyone that will listen to you in that area. A five dollar abandonment warrent usually gets someones attention. Spending more than the weekend in jail usually makes someone wake up... it did my ex. Anytime she thought about being late after that I just told her she had till __ date to pay current or she could sit in jail again. It might seem kinda harsh.. but it is money to suuport them..and I would have and still will do whatever I need to make her life easier/better/more fair. Plus it was fun too..:biggrin_255:

What you should do to help supplement your own needs is find a family services office. You can apply for Food stamps and medicaid. And do not let him off the hook. He had a family with you before he had a family with number 2. He is just as obligated to your children as his is to any that he has with her. Fight tooth and nail to get the support that your children deserve.

No..i dont want to get into a arguement over this.No.

Lets just say my opinion differs.
In the old days before all this court ordered child support a woman would stay with a husband for the childrens sake(and her own)until the children were raised..but now...Spit out some kids with as many diffrent fathers as a woman wants and expect to be kept up living in a supposed standard ..while her worthless live-in boyfriend lives in my house(no not me)..and sleeps till noon all day because he cant find a job(economy)..

And the courst say her living situation and who is living in my house(no not me)..is none of my business.

There are 2 sides to everything i just see it diffrently(my right)

Who is to say she is the one who left him? She stated in the original post that he was married again THREE months after they divorced. So I would doubt that it was her ending things UNLESS he was cheating and she discovered it. There are two sides to every story (as you said) and you shouldn't just assume that a woman is "spitting out" kids to live off of child support. And while there are those type of women out there, men could avoid that problem by using protection. She was married to the man for pete sake. I doubt she had the kids to ensure that she could "live up to standard" in the event of divorce. And where did she say she had a boyfriend living with her that can't find a job??? Can you quote that for me, because I don't remember seeing it?
