I just got the pitt power quiet performance mufflers put on, its a little deeper sound and you can really hear the turbo but the performance is astonishing. Didn't go on any trips yet to check fuel milage.

The problem i am having is the mufflers on my '06 387 are 11" wide, and the Donaldson's are only 9" wide...tho they sell a 10" version for $300+!!!!!!

Unfortunatley the way the stack is mounted and held in place, I can't do a #### thing about putting a 9" muffler on it due to the bracket goes around the ENTIRE muffler's 11" body. The only thing I can do is buy the non-drop in replacement Pitt muffler which is 10" shorter in lenght but still 11" wide.....saves me $100 a muffler so i can get new top stacks for basically free :)

I just picked up 2 M100463s for my 379 Pete today, I'll let you know how it runs. I had Nelson 86682s on it and was getting around 7 mpg.

First milage check, 8.25. I was usually around 7.5 but the average dropped in the winter so I've picked up .50-.75. Plus the truck runs alot better......

I've been thinking about putting a set of the M100463's on my truck with the mercedes engine in it. I've heard some mixed reviews of these mufflers and was wondering if there really worth trying. I can get a pair from my local parts supplier for $200 for the pair so it's not a real big investment IF they would help. Right now I have Nelsen mufflers on.

I guess my questions is, has everybody that's tried them been happy with the results???

I'm happy with them, they are actually quieter than the Nelsons I took off, plus I can tell the truck is running better, milage is better, .25-.50 over the other mufflers.

Here's the new muffs, (Donaldson M100463) very little restriction.................you can look straight thru them
    [IMG]
Here's the old muffs, rusting apart, There's a baffle in the middle of it and all those little holes are plugging up

Like others have said, this is probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to freeing up horsepower and better MPG.
