I'm no scientist, but if the car hit the right guard rail, it was in the slow lane, right? Isn't passing on the right illegal in the USA?

Sure, maybe the truck cut him off, but what if this newlywed couple was in a hurry to get somewhere and went through the trucks blindspot as he was checking his mirror? The story is way too vague to come to conclusions, specially without eye witness' words.

Well they are holding the driver without bond. They don't normally do that unless they have a really good reason for doing so. They must have other info relating to the driver that they are withholding.

drvrtech77, perhaps you didnt read my post well, my former brother-in-law also sat without bond a month, til a hearing. he was innocent, have you convicted this guy already.

perhaps you guys arent familiar with this area at the mlk exit on i-285, a 1/4 mile before the mlk exit i-20 eastbound ramp onto i-285 comes in from the right going south, the i-20 westbound ramp onto i-285 south has just come in from the left, just previous at the i-20 ramps off i-285 south you lose the right line to exit onto i-20 westbound and the left lane is lost to exit to i-20 eastbound to downtown. all traffic south on 285 has to condense to the middle and then spread out again and if ya have to exit onto mlk , you have precious little time to get over. you got merging cars flying off the i-20 ramps south at breakneck speed and cars start changing lanes like crazy, this is bad area on i-285 . FUBAR to the max. this may not be as cut and dried as one thinks.

how many of you remember the bus than ran up a left exit ramp in downtown atlanta and vaulted over the bridge and back down on the interstate???/

drivers fault you say??? how about the dang lane wasnt marked an exit ramp by the ga dot, not the first sign was up indicated the left lane turned into a exit ramp, no arrows , or anything. the first couple of days the bus driver was villified terribly, then the truth came out.

you guys dont be so quick to judge, you can easily be in this position tommorrow

1st of all you apparently haven't read what I posted. The Fulton county website says he has court appearance mon am @11. So I'm not saying he's guilty f anything. I'm just saying they have info that we don't know and don't tell me that you know everything related to this case.

Actually an arraignment is a hearing to read the charges to defendant and possibly appoint an attorney.

You drive through Atlanta too? I see this all the time, both 4 wheelers and big trucks cutting people off, driving fast to get through ATL. It' suprising there aren't more accidents.

If he's being held without bond, there's more to that story, it wasn't a simple lane change accident.

"Guilty until proven innocent." No wonder our country is going down the drain.
