ooops double post

Now about your other post...
I take $1200 escrow but it's taken over time. Again we sympathize and wait, and as you know a dog or a wolf as we had can ruin the interior for less than a week. We do have rules, inspections and all there is in the book, but at the end it's pointless to deal with courts and some times we do take our loss.
About the none smoking drivers... I wish but the boss smokes so I don't think it will ever happen
In regards the rewards for road side and big fees we have that as well. We even suspend or terminate, than we get they tears or the yelling and threats..., is fun in the office sometimes. Unclegrumpy is right about one thing most Europeans have a different idea about rules. ( They are to be bended a bit) But some how thees days I've noticed that Americans adopted that habit as well.
I was sitting having a coffee one day and I overheard a conversation behind me. 2 drivers were talking, one said that he needs to change the oil of the truck that he drives and the other one responded Q" Why.., it's not your truck..., what do you care?! When it stops you just go and drive for some one else! " I was shocked..., but mostly that is the reality. There are way too many companies, and not that many drivers and those bad once know that they will be able to find a job even if it is for a month. And sadly when we send out emp. verification the previous employer most of the time doesn't bother to list anything that driver did at his company and it all comes out OK. We had no way in checking driver records " except MVR" before CSA came in to place..., You know now when I think about it you all have a point about Chicago companies, most of them either don't care, or are not knowledgeable enough to care...until it's too late. As I said before I work as a safety consultant as well and the things I've seen and heard are beyond imaginable. -
Looking through your own prism is an idiom - if you don't know what those are let me explain it for you ; idiom = an expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements
prism=Optics . a transparent solid body, often having triangular bases, used for dispersing light into a spectrum or for reflecting rays of light.
To look through your own prism = closed minded person. ( Should I translate that as well?
Now my education: Loyola University Chicago School of Law, do you thing your GPA is high enough to even get considered for a student there?
Now jug your memory a little..., In a a lot of places Once upon a time, drivers were allowed to take the exam in English, Polish or Spanish...
Enough chatting with you... -
I found most of Nataly's posts in regard to drivers to be offensive. In one sentance it is "we are a driver friendly co.", in another she blames drivers for the pickle they're in. Yes the drivers have been bad boys and girls but PTH allowed it to happen.
Canuck, I may come across holier than thou, that is because I spend a lot of time making sure I'm compliant, when Safersys ran the show my score was an 11 out of 100, I was pretty darn proud of that number and I didn't get it by dodging scales or any other illegal activity, that number came from doing my job as an owner/driver and setting high standards for myself.
I had a co. driver for a time he was well paid but he could not follow the rules, I'd rather be in the truck than let a driver ruin my reputation.
I can let bygones be bygones and argue the facts. -
Nataly you need to read what you post, maybe do a little editing to make it understable.
I know of no state that has allowed cdl holders to take the test in any other language than english, if there is one or there was a time it must have been a very long time ago as the federal rules won't allow it, in fact the rule regarding english has been around longer than the CDL.
If you want to run off that's fine, I made my point many posts ago.Rollover the Original Thanks this. -
yes that is a great score--and something to be proud of--but when there are a great many trucks--and the quality of drivers they are hiring are not the best--it is both the companys and the drivers fault--you know it takes a good driver to be compliant all the time as you are----maybe the company should set their standards a bit higher for drivers
-
regardless---she didnt answer any of my questions---so i guess looking for good drivers isnt part of her job
-
im surprised she even responded to this thread, just making the company look worse (hard to do? not for nataly).
theres always a company thats worse, im just glad i havent fallen far enough to work for a company as bad as this one seems to be.
the way to get rid of companies that operate like this one has been "accused" of,is to make it too expensive to be in business...fines,fines,court,criminal charges.
