But at least dumping it in the grass is a step better than littering the full bottle, right?

Not every one that parks away from the public is making a mess. I for one park away from the public to stay some wear thats not a mess. When I leave the only thing you will find is 18 separate tire tracks in the dirt. I'm not saying that I have never leaked in a bottle or had trash in my truck. But every thing in my truck ends up in the proper location. I keep 2 1 liter bottles for those panic situations when you first wake up in the morning. Other then that I don't see why you can't go inside.

I have on 2 occasions taken pictures of drivers dumping trash. One was sweeping out his trailer and the other throwing trash out the window in a truck stop. I emailed the pics to their companies. I got form letter thank you messages back. Not sure if anything was ever done.

Using a bottle to pee in is not big deal, sometimes you are in places where you don't have many or any options. Just throw them away, not onto the ground.

I have seen drivers peeing in a truck stop parking lot, and also between the cab and the tandems while in the fuel island. These are the people I cannot understand. If you are in walking distance of a bathroom, go use it.

As for trash, get a trash can, they are cheap.

I as well have seen a few divers taking a leak in between the truck and trl "at the fuel island". First time i seen it I could not believe what I was seeing. That is down right lazy and sick. I also have watched drivers throw bags of trash out onto the ground when there was a trash can 1 parking spot over.

I myself just don't feel right throwing trash onto the ground. I would like to think I am better then that and respect "myself" not to be that dang lazy.

Pee bottles being poured out into the grass I personally see no issue with. It is a lot better then the bottle being tossed onto the ground for somebody else to pick up. Just do it where there is not going to be any foot traffic.

What can we do about it? well I thought about reporting them to their company but I am not into that high school tattle tell crap. I personally have started saying something to the individuals. Sure I have ended up in a few short arguments (I end them quick by walking away, lol not worth fighting over but definitely worth saying something about.) but nothing more then that, just a few words being said. Maybe next time they decide to throw something out they will hear me in the back of their head a walk to a trash can.

I was on layover in SLC in 2000. I watched a guy get out of his truck with his coffee cup. He walked to the duals, put the cup on the tire and took a leak. Then he picked up the cup and walked into the truck stop. The distance involved was about 100 feet.

That just use to totally disgust me when some lazy slob couldn't even make the effort to waddle into the restroom. Another thing that just really bothered me was when a truck would pull up and open his door and toss a bag of trash on the ground. This particular slob I saw do that was less than 10 feet from a trash can. I have never understood the laziness of some truckers. When I would stop after a long day I had to get out and move around. I use to try to walk atleast a mile if not more every night.
