Only 5 days??? My husband and I drive as a team and we were on break-down in Birmingham, AL for a full week. Our 2011 KW T700 decided to stall out completely at the junction of I-59 and I-65 in rush hour traffic. After a couple of days of 'trouble-shooting' and a day on the phone with Cummins, they ordered and replaced the 'lower' fuel pump. When that didn't work, they discovered that the 'pick-up' tube in the right fuel tank was cracked. They then ordered the repair kit for the 'pick-up' tubes and VOILA, we were finally back on the road.
One week of good loads and then, OOPSIE, it's been 91 days since your last Safety briefings, so back to the yard we go. When we arrive on Thursday evening and look at our clearance sheets we discover that since the hubby is 'celebrating' his 3 year anniversary with Stevens we have the privilege of staying in Dallas until Tuesday so he can go thru all the Safety refresher classes. That added to an APU problem keeps us down for another full week.
It took 2 weeks of non-stop running to finally dig out of the hole.
Hope you are up and rolling soon.

Well the trucker's fairy done come visited me!
Dropped my load in Oakland, no thanks to the Mustafa at the gate, then headed to Salinas for a load to Terrell.
Found a driver with a Boise load that wanted to get home to Dallas, so...
and now I sit at the J in Nampa, waiting to go unload, then head on home for a few days.
Left Sacto yesterday with what I thought was enough fuel.
Literally coasted into the TA in Sparks yesterday.
That pass sure sucks down the juice!
But I'm home and all is OK. -
yep the fairy's smiled down on ya... enjoy your home time.
I have been bumping my 70 for the past 10 days... but turning productive miles...
Monday pulled into Laramie, had dinner with a good friend, and made plans for memorial day weekend, now just to get that as my home time.
Then Tuesday, only had 6 hours drive time, so down the road to Evanston, to catch up with a nother friend... she was at work when I arrived, but soon ended her work day, and good conversation and dinner. Then it was time to catch some sleep, as I had planned to make Fernley NV, on Wednesday, and try to catch a load running late out of Cally...
But at 2 am, my phone rings, "sorry to disturb you, but we really need your help." Shake the cob webs off, they need me to go up to Kemmerer WY, to a towing company yard, drop my trailer, hook up to a Stevens Brokered load (non stevens equipment) and get it to Heinz in pocatello ASAP.... The insurance for the trailer is taken care of, the owner op has agreed.... then bring the empty back to Kemmerer, and pick up my trailer, and head on to Sacramento...
I am finally waking up... Okay I can do that, It will give me a 500 mile day today, and then back to my 2700 mile run... So I left Evanston to drive the Deer infested highway to Kemmerer... at least they all stayed in the grass... can't say that for the jack rabbits...
see this old prime trailer... landing gear will not budge... trailer is too high, can't hook to it, wrecker driver has an idea, adjust my air suspension manually to raise it, so we can get some pressure off the landing gear, it works, and up goes the landing gear, and back down goes the air suspension...
He gets me the BOL, no he does not have a key to the padlock, and the driver is in Salt lake city picking up parts...
Off I go, will deal with the lock at the receiver..
Arrive at Heinz at 0715, check in, tell them the load was supposed to deliver yesterday, they find it, then about the lock, and he brings out a 5 FT set of bolt cutters, and tells me just put them in the back of the trailer when I get it open...
Those cutters made quick work of that lock... And I had gotten permission from Stevens to cut the lock...
They have a unique glad hand key locking system for the dock door... interesting but difficult to use...
at 830 I am empty, and headed back to kemmerer...
Now the night shift had pre planned all of my loads, and I was using a dummy number for the trailer they had set up to do my circle of service... but no one told the day shift... took 2 hours for the day shift to understand what was going on, and to get me dispatched back to my original load... at least segment 2 of the same load number...
Stopped for breakfast in Montpelier ID... Good food, cute waitress, slow service...
My lack of sleep from the night is setting in... catch a cat nap, then down to switch out trailers, and head back to the J in Evanston...
I ask my DM about the miles for segment one of the trip from PA, and as I expected, paid miles from PA to Kemmerer wy, forgetting about the back track from evanston...
Fall asleep while on hold...
Wake up to the stevens phone ring, it is the same guy I dealt with last night, or early this morning... he starts the conversation off with hey didn't I talk to you in Evanston last night... yea, just took it easy today...He thanks me again, and says he saw my QC message about the miles, and he has fixed them, adding 65 miles, and apologizes for not having done that last night...
The days are good, and Thursday I will still make Fernley NV, and then down Donner to make Sacramento for my Friday 7am appt.
Now back to sleep, as I actually have to pay attention to my time to make the appointment on time...Rattlebunny Thanks this. -
Hope everyone and their families are alright out there in the southeast.

There's a thread on here about the petro they said 8 driver deaths there we're trucks tossed out in the fields too
-
Made my delivery this morning in sacramento, and had a pre plan to pick up in Salinas.. Headed to Fort worth.. A produce load, and only one pick!!!! Appointment set for 1700, arrive at 1300, log book and all, as I started my day at 0030. Finally assigned a door at 1900, might be loaded before 2400... then it is manage my time again, to make my delivery with my hours.
My prayers go out to all those in the south, whose families were affected by the storms.. Saw a stevens truck in a photo that appeared to be undamaged at the Petro, in Glade springs... hope all the driver needed was a clean pair of cloths... -
badcompany Thanks this.

The CB is not the place to get accurate information about anything.

Quite couple of days here.... chirp chirp
Setting here at the Petro, in Amarillo TX... deliver a 2300 target in FT worth Tuesday.
I think I can make it..
3200 paid miles last week, all while bumping my 70 each day.. The trucking fairy has been helping me out lately... now time to get to the yard. My DPF clogged sensor is acting up... says the DPF is clogged while driving in rain.. as soon as it drys out, everything is fine...
