So, I'm a Catholic, and part of the religion, is that you're supposed to refrain from work on Sunday. So, I'm hoping that a few trucking companies exist, which would allow for Sundays off, because I'm still interested in this sort of work?

Well....if looking to go OTR, you can try and line your runs up to take your 34 hour reset on Sunday. Either that, or most, if not all, construction related work does not run on Sunday.

I dont know this for fact, but I would imagine that if a store or business is closed on Sunday, they might use that day to restock/reload for the upcoming week. I am of the Christian faith and our company is closed on Sunday based on those religious practices. It's nice working for bosses who see life the same way you do :) which is something you are going to find at a smaller, local, mom n pop type business rather than a nationwide carrier.

As he said, you will not find it with nationwide carriers because they can find another driver who is willing to work that day. Just look at local gigs and see what you can come up with. If not, like he said you can always try and line your 34hr up.

You don't believe in "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy" or "God created the earth in 6 days, on the 7th, he rested?"

Not trying to get this moved to the religious forum but I didnt think Christianity and Catholic(ism?) varied much on that. Not that it's any of my business what you do, just sayin.

I was born and raised Catholic. However, my job requires me to work most every Sunday. I have found out that I do more praying in the truck than I did at Mass. No joke.

Check out TMC. I was reading their website and it says that they get home like 46 out of 52 weekends...sounds good, but I don't know if it's true. Are you opposed to getting only half a day off on Sunday or are you just bent on getting all of Sunday off? Only getting half a day off might open up your possibilities. good luck.

Covenant is a highly religious outfit.

    Don't believe me, ask them.

Perhaps they would serve you well.
