they used to be real good about getting you home but there again all depends on who your dm is and if they are on the ball and what your relationship is with them. sounds like your one of the lucky ones with a good repore with your dm. but what i was talking about is central used to give you i think it was 50 or 100 a day for every day they couldn't get you home after your requested time. when they did away with that policy. they lost motivation to get you there on time.

If they are having trouble now getting people home, maybe them letting me go was a a blessing in disguise. Hopefully my app for Yard Dog at Versacold in Modesto comes through. Ill be home every day/night. They didnt accept online apps and were accepting apps today only between 9 and 12. There were only 5 people from 9 - 1030.

West Valley is where the planners are. If your DM wants to, they can get up and go bug the planner in person in West Valley. It's not the case in other terminals.

That doesn't promise you more milage, but it makes sense. Why ignore the guy sitting 4 rows over when you can ignore the one 800 miles away?

I'd argue with Tamela being good. She's the reason we went to the beer fleet.

I think your sarcasm filter is broken, 1bad dear. They were poking fun at the saying "those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." Sarcasm in text is hard to read.

Hey, did you ever get my text? About me meeting the guy who had your old truck?

I think the phrase for this is "remove head from sphincter, then drive."
I hate talking mean about another driver, but if you can't keep an eye on where things are, you shouldn't be in a truck.
When was this? I was in the yard yesterday morning.

Turnover rate with Central is close to 140%, or so said one of the safety guys a few weeks ago.

Do drivers get home ever other weekend? Not really. You can request time off for every 9 days, but don't expect to be home on time all the time.

There are deliveries between 10p and 5a, but there's no rhyme or reason to it. You won't be promised any delivery times, one week it might be all days, one week it might be all nights, and then it might be a mix.

Figure on 1200 miles per trip, or less, and there's extra time on loads. When we went to electronic logs, they added more time, because the elogs can make it tougher to plan. And, a lot of freight is regionalized now, so don't expect a lot of back to back, long trips. Trainers often get them, because they need a certain number of miles with their student for upgrade. Expect to get your share of 300 mile, 3 day runs, and 1200 mile, 2.5 day runs.

Hey everyone, i've been looking through this thread and got a lot of good info about central. I'm down to either them or swift at the moment. Swift said i will get 0.25 after training but central said they will pay me 0.28 once i go solo. Also, i like the fact that central lets you have inverters, i know swift doesn't. I would be going through the school in Fontana, i haven't heard great things about the school itself but i figure if i just put my time in and keep a good attitude i should be fine. what do you guys think?

Oh, and don't worry i won't lease. I promise. lol
