Another Millis Experience

Yea same here Spanky, nice to finally meet you. I'll probably be at Trenton around 0600 or so, maybe will see you there.

 

Tuesday morn, d/h out of Trenton to Richmond, IN to pick up a load going to Eden. Last week was my worst week for miles since I've been here. I didn't even break 2k, but I was home for 3 days. Still a bad week by my standards. Let's hope I don't see any more of those.

Left Eden with a load going to Pine City, NY. Caught up with Baritone eventually and cruised with him for a bit. Thanks for the mic Dave! Always a pleasure to run with you. The scenery on the ride up was awesome, came up US 15 and PA 14.

Sitting in Plainfield, IL waiting for a midnight delivery. Afterwards heading to Menards in Plano (who would thunk?) to pick up to deliver in Columbus, OH tomorrow.

I was trucking across I-90 West earlier. In between Toledo and Lake Station ran through a cold front and temp dropped from 78 to 48 in about 30 minutes. WTH? All in all a good run.

Got to have dinner with Baritone and Kirk last night. Hooked up with them at Harborcreek. Enjoyed that, thanks for waiting for me guys!

Picked up in Trenton and sitting in Carterville, IL waiting to deliver in the morn. I'm sure we'll cross paths somewhere on the road.

Saw a dog get run over on I-57. It was a sad sight, he was yelping and crying and looked like it broke his hind legs and he had to drag himself off the highway. It was sad.

 

Sitting in Oconomowoc, WI waiting to get unloaded. One of those trips where you arrive at 2 in the afternoon with a midnight delivery. I don't like these runs because I can never sleep that early in the afternoon because I'm not tired. So you either take a few more extra hours off to try and get some sleep or you run tired for a little while (NOT so tired you can't drive) and have to stop before running 10 hours to get some sleep. And I can't sleep while backed into a dock while they're unloading. Have never been ok with that for some reason.

 

Had planned to stop at this Pilot in Richfield, OH for my 10 break. I pulled in and had 4 minutes left on my 14. Small pilot and of course it was overflowing at 6 p.m. Said screw it and parked where it says "no parking", lol. I'm dead tired and out of hours, so I'm not in a concerned mood.

It seems like I've been driving in rain the last month. Rain Rain Go Away! I'm tired of it already. Any who, picked up in Richfield, WI and going to Winchester, VA. Maybe they will run me down south for a while for a change of scenery.

I delivered last night at midnight at a food distributor. I had a guy asked me how long I've been with Millis. He said "they will ruin your DAC after 2 years, I hit a deer and they ruined my DAC". This dude looked just like Joe Dirt. About 5 feet tall, mullet sticking out of his hat, was hilarious.

I'm gonna hit the sheets, I'm exhausted. Be safe out there kids.
