Atleast there keeping you moving. Should be some decent checks.

Dropped off a relay at some random drop lot in Converse, TX....stuck around to do my DOT 10. Sounds like I'll hopefully be heading to Loredo in the morning to get a load to take me home asap

Well somehow through the un-knowledgeable shatty support shift, I ended up taking another relay BACK to Dallas OC...wasn't I just here?? I am beyond my wits end with dealing with the support shift. Seems like yesterday and today have been a failed attempt at going west and getting closer to home. Per the support shift I was told to wait at the Dallas OC until Monday morning when I can work with my DBL on getting a load home. I guess there's not much "support" to the support shift if they can't even make decisions lol

Support shift has always been a problem, but I've gotten downright ugly with them several times in the last 45 days or so over several of the decisions they've made. I think they've really regressed in terms of one key factor, that being listening to any input from anyone. I know a good DBL will try to communicate things like "this driver has been in a rut...how about something decent?", and they completely ignore it. They have "the power" and they use it. Now again...I know their number one priority is to get loads covered...no issue with that. But when a business relationship ceases to become profitable for the company AND the driver, then there's a problem. The young bucks in Green Bay (some of whom are not as old as some of my shirts!) think they know it all. I've threatened to sit the weekend if I get empty on a Saturday morning and I'm not preplanned. My DBL said "you can't do that"...I just replied "watch me".

I agree 100%...the support shift people act like they have the power, yet for simple things they tell me it's out of their hands because only my DBL can do it. When i remind them "Well it's the weekend and my DBL isn't working"...there's a silent pause as in them saying to themselves "##### he's right"..but then continue to tell me that I'll have to wait until Monday morning to figure it out with my dbl:biggrin_25516:

Well, I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts, on extended home time in Salt Lake. I came in Thursday for a doctor appointment and am told I cant get a load out until Monday!
Not exactly what I had in mind, it leaves me with three weeks of 1800 miles each :(

Sitting at the terminal in Harrisburg getting ready to start the prework screen. This terminal seems pretty decent so far.

Hanging out at the 49er Truck Stop in Sacramento waiting for a load. Got off my dot break over 5 hours ago and still no load, seeing as it's Sunday and having to deal with lovely support shift I'm guessing I'll be here all day :biggrin_25513: At least it's a pretty decent and clean truck stop
