I take a couple of tylenol. Usually puts me out, but you could also try benedryl. It'll either put you to sleep or make you so freaking hyper you'll be able to pull the trailer yourself.

    How're your ducks doing?

Ducks are awesome, we have 12 new babies and we're keeping them all, just way too cute to sell!...I was at TS the other day in Sidney, NE, they have about 30-40 ducks that hang out there, I probably looked silly sitting there for hours playing with them and feeding them but I felt like I was home and had fun!

Years ago I had trouble falling asleep, and my mother told me to avoid salt after supper. I've never been able to confirm it anywhere, but I cut back on the processed snack foods after supper and it seemed to remedy the problem.

Also, I like chamomile tea... and will often have some before bedtime.

over the counter sleeping pills use some chemical, I think it's diphenhydramine or whatever. Anyway, Tylenol PM is half pain relieiver and half sleeping pil. So if you take one pill, not a regular dose of two pills you end up getting about 1/4 of the normal dose of a sleeping pill.

The problem with taking melatonin is the dosage swamps your body's melatonin mechanism. Your body uses a very tiny self-administered dosage of melatonin to regulate your sleep. Most melatonin pills have a huge amount in them compared to your body's daily dose. It's similar to the effect of taking steriods. Your body senses the flood of melatonin from the pill and shuts down the internal production of melatonin.

You are better off ditching all caffeine, not most caffiene, and doing some serious exercise to generate tiredness. If you take the sleeping aid, don't use it on consecutive days and stick to one pill, bersus full dose.

BTW, welcome to the world of trucking.

I don't blame you for not selling them. As for looking silly at the TS.....please.......you probably looked like one of the few normal and sane people there. :biggrin_25525:
