....has locations in 48 States. It was difficult to transition to "local" at first, but well worth it to me so far. You can check them out here--->http://bluelinxco.com/

Hey stupid I am a pilot and instructor. I do not brow beat my students into submission like I know they try to do at TMC- get freaking real there is a few x military instructors their that didn't do #### in the armed forces and their taking their ##### #### out on people really trying.. The CEO of the company needs to get a grip on this problem.

I thought it was Too Much Chrome???

Ma'am I understand your frustrations...but know this...Truckers have two things and two things only to offer. one is service...the other....is LIP service.

the ones that make it to almost the last day I've seen in 17 years OTR is usually because A. they weren't honest on their ap, B. Safety came back with a false statement or they didn't include all their driving history or criminal history.

TMC is a proud bunch indeed. They ARE tough to get on with, but they are a great company and highly regarded industry-wide and are all but the pillar of the flatbed world. They have an immaculate safety rating every year and some of the best and most upkept equipment out there from what I have seen. Good luck!

Miss, a good company WILL push new hires. It's kind of a "pay your dues" thing as much as it is to see if they are truly cut out for this industry. I admire companies like TMC because they have a long and PROUD heritage in this industry and have the firm understanding it's more than a job...it's a way of life. You are either cut out or you're not and there is no in between. TMC is definitely a hardcore company and I am grateful for every failure behind the wheel they keep out of this industry a little longer. There ARE companies with hordes of bad drivers flooding the gates every day thus making the highways a dangerous place to be.

TMC drivers on the whole have a great attitude and hold their heads high. If you want to flatbed they would be the first company I'd send any student or trainee to. YES....it will be hard...NO...your mommy isn't allowed to go on the truck with you and trainer

....what is reciccioulous is your inability to spell on a 4th grade level....

and it sounds to me like all you are LOOKING for is the truck.

TMC is a top earning company year in, year out. They are disciplined toward their company goals and the only greasing of their palms by the government is due to contracts held to haul their freight you trucking Einstein. I'd call you a trucking bozo but I'm pretty sure even YOU are brighter than him. They have 379's as well as 387's and 389's. Why don't you fill us in on their 401k and insurance options?? Oh wait..how about you tell what portion of the insurance TMC pays compared to other companies..as well as home time reliability. How about safety rating and on-time delivery compaired to swift's flatbed division on a 1-1 truck scale?
What about retainment incentives offered to drivers? I DO wear bud shirts, I am not sure what flipping my butt would be but I probably do it out of the presence of ladies. The rest...meh you prove my point all by your lonesome..no need for me to point out the obvious

I can see the ###### that answered this does not understand the concept of " brow beating"

    browbeatingpresent participle of brow·beat
Verb: Intimidate (someone), typically into doing something, with stern or abusive words: "a witness is being browbeaten under cross-examination". More »

You are probably an instructor there...
