Here is a warning for all of you with prostars. Know where that darn door is, and never step back without being totally out of its way.
We are still in the loaner and the side box door hit my head so hard my vision went blurry and I was in tears. Turns out, I had a concussion and somehow muddled through driving for the next 2 days. Now the effects have given me post concussion syndrome and I have right side vision issues, right side motor control issues, and overall right side weakness. No active brain bleeds. I have to see a neurologist somewhere to be further evaluated and see what can be done. For now, thanks to a side box door, our dream is dying and I am useless. Please, anyone pray it gets better.

    Wow,
Sorry to hear that. Perhaps the symptoms will be short-lived and you can get back. You are not useless, just hit a bump in the road. Don't get too down over this. I expect to hear of your recovery soon.

Man i cant see how these guys over at Central Ref. make any money, One week you take home 1200, the next week or two you draw a 0 check and you never own the truck, How can they call themselfs O/O's. You lease the truck from Central who leases it from Pacar that has to turn it in after 4 yrs. All i can think is these drivers have got to be hard up or just fresh out of school and dont know any better. But i've meet some of thier Recruiters, there real winners. Its just another J.M. aka Swift ripoff.

This has been discussed on this tread several times, so unless you have some new information, or a specific question, please don't crap on this thread. I suggest you go back and re-read the posts concerning Central's O/O program and the real people who are either making it work, or the ones who are struggling.

And your comment of making 1200 a week and 0 the next, is just part of trucking, you only make money when the wheels are moving, it's not just a central thing.

So if you just want to crap on thread, please move along. Otherwise ask questions and get answers. And I don't even work for Central anymore.

Starting to think shops are just time consumers. Just got into this Volvo two weeks ago,got a message it was overdue for an oil change. Okay,I'm headed for Cheyenne and get routed through Henderson for fuel,no problem. WRONG! Got here yesterday at 1500. Found the wrong wheel cylinder on one of the drives, major mess up on the brake seal on my steers. "Needs to be replaced...part is not in stock, should be here by 0800 and you should be gone by 0900." Still waiting for the part to show up. My biggest complaint is that the WVC shop guys basically blew the dust off and told me it was good to go. If they had their heads anywhere but in their hoo-haa's I wouldn't have even needed an oil change! :biggrin_25516::biggrin_25510: ^¢±£÷¢π•|÷¢[¢]¢×¡¡!! Okay,I feel a little better. Thanks for letting me vent. :biggrin_25523::biggrin_25516:
By the way,if the Icon bulb is blown,it shuts down the system...:biggrin_25510:

Yeah - we really are not impressed by the WV shop either... just one of our 'stories'...

During a PTI (yes we do them) noticed that the gasket from around the fuel tank was coming out from between the support strap and the tank. We tucked the loose end up and headed into the shop (had a drop in Ogden when we noticed it) but we were under a load to NV - we purposely didn't fuel so that they could 'fix' this... we went in and let them know we were under load and could they get to us soon - the 'foreman' said that it would be ok for us to run this way to NV and back and then get it fixed. I told them I wanted that in writing and they for some reason didn't want to do that. So needless to say - we did get it fixed, but if they (the professionals) thought it would be ok to run 1) without the protection of the gasket between the strap and tank for wear 2) without that gasket the strap would then be loose... yeah - our impression of their 'skill' is not good. Now Henderson is another story - LOVE the Henderson shop!! The night guy Luke and the day guy Mike (I think his name is) they are great!!
