The first one seems to be still in use, at least this is what I gather from the photo with all the modern cars and trucks in the background. The second from the last, the blue one looks good, and the last one looks good too. But I still don't like those tractors. But, I'm glad you do I suppose. Maybe your first driving job will be in a cabover. When and if that happens, come back here and tell us if you like getting the beejesus kicked out of you. Ouch, my aching back just thinking about those tractors.

my brother has a cabover with an alison auto when he gets it down here i am going to drive it. i think those cabovers are comfortable i am 6 foot 2 and i seem to have plenty of room in them. except for the sleeper i will putt a bigger sleepr on than the k100 has that we are wanting to buy.

Back in the day,that first one was nicknamed a Crackerbox,it leaked air and water when it rained inside the cab,you had real air conditioning then,and in the winter you nearly froze to death,in summer so hot you wouldn't believe it. In my early years i never drove one because they leaked so bad and nearly fell apart. I had friends with C&H Trans out of dallas tx that owned them,when I drove a brand new Kw 100 cabover,red and silver leased to them in dallas,had torsion bar suspension on kw and 13 speed with a 350 big cam cummins,not a bad truck,but it kept breaking rivets on the cab,due to pulling large permit loads like army tanks and airplane wings etc,too much flexing on the body from the old roads,Peterbuilt came out better and in 80 drove a new pete cabover with nuway suspension,400 cummins and 13 speed,nice riding cabover and one of my favorite trucks I drove,best cabover that i ever drove. I drove a later model freightliner cabover with a queen size sleeper,that rode really rough and i hated that truck.

One thing I forgot to mention,the kw 100 I drove was new in 76,it had a single fiberglas and metal body,the 80 pete had a double body,two separate peces and that body stood up great,the kw was in the shop three times in one year to replace the cab rivets in the floor and the tool boxes,thay had alumium rivets and the body would twist and flex and break them,then the third time,boston kw replaced them with stainless steel rivets,that worked better but the holes were elongated and still loose. If you can get a pete instead you will be happier in the end.

that blue ete is n early 70's model. It's in great shape. That is the exact truck as my dads first truck. I remember many trips with him in that thing.

That first tractor is a 7400 White. I used to own one. We called them Japanese Freightliners.
A crackerbox was a GMC, first truck I drove.
