Oklahoma Ag is one of the bigger hopper outfits down here and is 100% owner operators pulling company trailers based in Kingfisher, OK. My understanding from some of the drivers is you get 73% and you pay so much a week ($100 I think) for cargo and liability insurance and you must have your own IFTA account. It used to be called Oklahoma Ag Lines and he went bankrupt several years ago owing a bunch of people. Then started back up as Oklahoma Ag Transports and got some funding and partnership from Heartland Frontier Trading in Roff, OK which is a broker. The broker outfit also own HTC Express which is hoppers and pneumatic sand tanks. Oklahoma Ag has a sister company that is called High Pressure Transports that pulls tanks.

My opinion they rate up their with Heads, MTI and Butler. I think they hire out of they same driver pool.

Have to work today. Usually don't work Saturdays except during the harvest but the ethanol plant needs some grain.

Still haven't had any rain. Temp was 106* yesterday and supposed to be in 100's all next week. May not be much to haul around here for fall harvest.

I imagine you are right, wheathauler, as most guys in my area of SC Kansas started chopping their corn over July 4th. Soybeans are turning brown, milo is turning grey, looks pretty poor for the farmer as well as you all in the grain hauling industry!:biggrin_1square6:

I'm hoping there will be something to haul this winter. It's looking like there will be way more trucks around than there is grain.

I am going to be hauling to ethanol plant all this week. I am seeing more and more corn being cut for silage around here. Unless it's irrigated there isn't going to be much corn here this year.

Fuel is $3.99 in Emporia, $3.92 on the ktp. Why hasn't anyone invented an air conditioned shirt yet?
