:biggrin_2553:I am new to being an owner-operator so I didn't know just how badly I was being used and abused until I spoke with a few other drivers in my shoes. JB HUNT is horriffic. Not only was I spending 3/4 of my overall pay in fuel but they were giving all the choice jobs to their drivers and throwing the crap to the owner operators. Dispatchers are like children let loose--none of them know what the other is doing. The longer I worked for them the worse it got--sitting for days wasting fuel on air--longer and longer distances between load pick-ups--being lied to when loads were screwed up, already picked up, or just plain lost in a land where no one knew nothing about them...Geesh you would think these guys were looking out for you the way they snare you in in the first place--beware--their like lawyers, always lying. Thank you to all the owner operators out their who took the time to share with me that the very smae thing was happening to them..Ohh and p.s. when they promise you over $1.20 a mile it will after you pay for your own fuel with no help from them into more like 23 cents per mile. LIARS AND CHEATS--THANKS FOR NOTHING JB HUNT DISPATCHERS. :biggrin_25511:

:biggrin_2553:THIS REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS...JB HUNT DISPATCHERS ARE A JOKE. NOT ONLY DO THEY LIE AND PROMISE YOU $1.25 A MILE(WHICH TURNS INTO MORE LIKE 20 CENTS PER MILE AFTER FUEL COSTS, WHICH I GOT NO HELP WITH) THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON. I HAVE BEEN DISPATCHED TO LOADS THAT NEVER EXISTED, LOADS THAT WERE ALREADY PICKED UP, LOADS THAT NO ONE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT...AND MY FAVORITE..LOADS THAT WERE READY IN ANOTHER STATE AT ANOTHER WAREHOUSE...WT*...I WORKER FOR JB HUNT FOR FIVE LONG MONTHS, FRUSTRATED AND AT MY NERVES END I STARTED TALKING TO OTHER OPERATORS IN MY SHOES, SURE ENOUGH THEY'RE SCR**ING EVERY OWNER OPERATOR THEY CAN ENLIST. THE DISPATCHERS ARE CLUELESS AND ARE THE MOST IMMATURE PEOPLE I'VE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF WORKING FOR...THE LONGER I WORKER FOR THEM THE LONGER THE DISTANCES GREW BETWEEN LOADS--AND THE LESS THE PAY GOT...PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A NEW EMPLOYER--STAY CLEAR OF JB HUNT.:biggrin_25520:

Did you realize in 13 minutes your figures changed? Based on the the information given, you can probably get a job as a dispatcher, load planner, recruiter, etc.

He might be better at that because he has no clue at how to be an O/O.

Common sense, Any company with their own trucks are going to load their trucks first. They only have to pay driver wages. Look for an all O/O company.:biggrin_25515:
