The real "scam" is Prime "gaming Newbies" coercing them into "rent a truck contracts!" Your biased opinion is totally worthless...As chief Cheerleader/Cuckold For Prime doesn't your "owner" want u "gaming newbies" in the "why I love Prime thread?" By the way the survey is Free to download!

Nobody games newbies - nor is any pressure ever put on anyone to lease at Prime. Sorry allycatt, I'm a driver not a spokesperson.

Keep it professional in here, please. You can discuss Prime lease deals without resorting to personal attacks.

It's funny how many people talk smack about Prime who never drove for them. LOL. Has anybody ever leased a truck from Ryder or Penske? I had to lease one at one time when I blew an engine out when I was leased to Landstar. Their lease payments are much more higher then what Prime charges. Remember,Prime trucks are LEASE trucks not lease to purchase. I prefer leasing then owning for in the long run it's better. As for the rates I just finished a produce load for $3.20 a mile to the truck. (Alberts Organics) going from the Bay area to Pittston,Pa. So there is a rate for ya :)

Ok you did the load going there to PA but please post the rate you got on your next load out of Pennsylvania. Was about $1.00 right?

Nope. Been seeing $1.50 - $2.50 on a regular basis.

Adding all outbound loads from PA since 1/1/2011... a little more variability than I guessed at.

    1/19/11 $2.75 per mile

    2/2/11 $1.76 per mile

    3/8/11 $2.86 per mile

3/27/11 $5.23 per mile (short load)

3/28/11 $4.52 per mile (short load)

    4/4/11 $1.41 per mile

    5/15/11 $1.57 per mile

6/21/11 $5.41 per mile (short load)

    7/18/11 $1.34 per mile

The post above was made by me and those numbers were the numbers when I leased a truck in 2008 so who knows what they are now but I still say Prime charges way too much for a lease and here is one now I am doing to compare the two. That truck was a 2008 Freightliner Century. My truck now is a Kenworth T660 that is a lease purchase from American Central Transport.

Lease term on this truck is 46 months at $602.16 per week. I get a free week after every 6 months. Buyout at the end is $10000. Truck includes a Tripak apu unit where at Prime you had to pay an additional $85.00 per week for that but mine is included and I pay no additional mileage fee. At the end of the lease and buyout I will have paid $125000 for it and it is mine.
